I can't figure it out, is it Armored Core for the PS? Actually it just came to me, is it Front Mission for the PS?

No, it's not Front Mission nor is it Armored Core, though AC is kinda close. Unlike Armored Core you didn't have control of the giant robots you made, instead you programed them to your liking and sent them out into battle in hopes they'll work right.

Alright then, the game is called "Carnage Heart" A very old, very obscure PS1 game. It was quite fun, but not for everyone. Anyway, here's a hopefully easier one.

No way! Ninja Gaiden looks tons smoother than that. It's pixelated-ness is closer to Metroid Prime Hunters (although I know it's not).
Is it Ghost in the Shell?
