Over the years Christianity has developed and has become the dominate religion in the world. Many people are Christian, including myself, and including the gat community.

Now we all know how Christians view homosexuality. Some people are optimistic and say that it will change someday. Other say, you know, no.

Now, there might be a branch of Christianity that accepts homosexuality. I mean, the Mormans get away with polygomy. The Calvinists get away with taking away people's money without Jesus taking a whip to them. Why is homosexuality such a sin if things like that go on?

Okay.. firstly, things like polygomy and taking people's money are sins, and they will be punished; the people who commit sins and don't ask for forgiveness go to hell. It's as simple as that.
The point is, they are sins. You are supposed to try not to sin. You aren't supposed to go about doing as many bad things as you can, and just say, "Oh, I'll ask for forgiveness later -- for now, I'll just do whatever the heck I want!"
In my opinion, yes. Homosexuals can be 'Christian', they can believe in God. But even if they say they are Christian, they obviously don't agree with the Bible's teachings about marriage/sex/etc., or else they wouldn't be homosexual.

So if they wanted to be "Christian" would they have to lie about how they feel, then committing "another sin"?
Does everyone who say they are Christian really agree with everything about the Bible's teachings? It's easy to say one believes in all of the Bible's teachings, but what if someone suddenly decided to pick on you about one thing you disagree with and challenge you, saying you're not a Christian..

Yeah, the Bible's so controversy that you can't go by everything it says. Even in the old days some scriptures were burned.

Now.. I don't know if this would count, but they could go into a Confession Box and ask for forgiveness. But most people take pride in their sexuality.

It may be controversial on some things, but homosexuality isn't one of them. It plainly states that you are only to 'lay with someone of the opposite gender after marriage', or something like that. I'm not saying that homosexuals can't believe in God. I'm just saying that if you don't believe what God says about marriage, then why should you believe anything else the Bible says?
Though, I'm sure, if a homosexual asked for forgiveness, then, yes, they would go to heaven. I doubt, however, that they would want to be forgiven for their sexuality..
Oh, and.. isn't a Confession Box part of Catholicism? Not Christianity.. O.o
