It was nearing the twilight of the night, the sun was falling and the moon was rising high into the sky.

Keenihabu'bwana had enjoyed his rejoining into the Firekin Lands very much recently, and had even got on his own once again, doing what he used to do while he was a rouge. Something seemed so wrong, though. Something was missing in his mind. Of course, there was only one thing on his mind ever, anyways. Motomilia. He sighed, and than fled off in another direction of the pride's borders -- searching for her.

As he traced her distinctive scent, he had traveled for a short period of time. He approached her sliently, as he just wanted to tell her again, how he felt. Maybe this would be a better time, now that they had finally made it to the lands.

Motomilia was seated near the prideland's border, close to one of the cliffs that stretched across the desert. The sky was a brilliant shade of pinkish purple, and as her eyes adjusted to the dark she could focus on the sun as it sank beneath the horizon.

Her mind was on what Azula had said to her the other day, her thoughts on the matters they'd discussed, her advice. If Moto had questioned Azula's lineage before, she didn't now; the lioness was, personality-wise, pure Firekin through and through.

But more and more often, she found herself going mentally back to the events of the day before, out at the oasis, with the dark lion..

She growled to herself, her claws digging into the sand in agitation, her tail thumping behind her. A new scent came on the calmly moving breeze, and she swiveled her head without moving, recognizing the scent almost immediately.

"Hello Keeni."

As he saw her, he darted over to her. The male stood infront of her, smiling. "Motomilia. I need to talk with you, right away." He kicked the sand around his paws slowly, as he shuffled about.

"Look, lately i've been feeling weird -- and its a repeative feeling." He looked down, and then back to her, a slight blush brushing his red cheeks. "Moto, i've been thinking ... ... about you. A lot." He stood up, and came closer to her. The female never left his mind.

He looked back, silently, attempting not to say another word.

She eyed him a moment, and if she could have smirked, she would have. To do so, however, would have blown her cover.

Azula was right. Keeni didn't have her trapped, as she had originally thought. It was the other way around. If she played this right, Moto could easily have him wrapped around her paw.

What a pathetic excuse for a lion of the Motoujamii.

"Keeni..." she stood, stepping closer. "I've... been thinking about you, too."

"You have?" He was somewhat in shock. Keeni had thought that Moto had no feelings for him at all. Was the lioness changing suddenly? He blinked twice, and then came closer to her, smiling.

"I didn't realize that you have been thinking about me. It always seemed like you never liked me, at all." He peered down for a moment, sighing.

"No, I did like you, I just..." Her expression grew pained. She wondered if she should tell him about her "outing" with the dark male yesterday, but decided agianst it; while she could sugarcoat it with the "I didn't mean to"s and the "it just sort of happened"s to turn the event to her advantage, it could just as easily place a strike against her. She wanted to come out on top, not the bottom. Figuratively speaking, of course...

"I'm sorry for the way I handled things." She was surprised at the tone in her own voice; she was pulling this off far too easily. "I pushed you away because I didn't know how to react, and now that I've had time to think about things..."

She trailed off. She shouldn't come off too forward.

"Motomilia, its okay." He smiled more, nodding. He was just too easy, and nice. "I'm sure you had your reasons for hiding your thoughts from me." The large male came over, to sit beside the lioness. He turned, looking into her eyes.

"It's okay."

She purred, the volume starting low at first, then rising gradually in her thoat as she stepped forward and bumped her head against his shoulder in a gentle "headbutt".

Keenihabu glared, a smirk across his maw as she headbutted his side. He too leaned over, rubbing his fluffy mane against Motomilia. Then he licked her cheek softly.

Motomilia returned the nuzzle for a few moments before drawing away, meeting Keeni's gaze and turning to walk further out into the sands, outside of the Firekin pride borders. Her tail twitched, indicating that he should follow. To the oasis, perhaps, or maybe they would find something somewhere that offered a bit more seclusion and privacy.
