At a glance I would suggest working on human shapes. I didn't take a close look at the other parts, but what I saw at a glance looked good. Improvement in other areas like clothing and such should be easier once you have things like the shape of a head down better.

With all the pictures people take of people and the countless art books on drawing people you will have no problem finding images to compare your art with. By comparing, you can see where lines should be curved or straight and where the outline should be.

If you sketch a person, then compare your drawing to a refernce you can find something to alter. Make the alteration and make the person look good with the alteration. By going back and forth like that, you can hone your style. This works with most things that can be drawn, but can be frustrated if done for extended periods of time. That's how I like to improve make work sometimes.

thank you. that is what i've been trying to do but as you well know. there are many drawing styles out there so often they end up a little mingled. especcially when much of what you see today is altered to whatever the person wants to see or show people.
thanks again for the advice. i'll do my best

I would say to work on the anatomy also. There's many great books out there about it, my favorite is "Human Anatomy Made Amazingly Easy" by Christopher Hart. It looks a little too choppy, and the pose she's in doesn't look very natural. But it's a good start and a great idea, but it needs a bit tweaking! (wink)
