I was just informed that my band teacher has hired a member of the SNL band to play a concert with us as a part of our band! surprised However, it'd only for jazz 1, so hopefully I make it into that band.
Discuss: have you ever played with a really famous musician?

i've played with local guys that have played in the 50's and 60's with big jazz musicians.
Oh and who might that musician be?

Played a couple of times with Ken Peplowski, but not recently... Erm, Joe Lebarbera is my Jazz history teacher right now ^^;... Oh, and one of the teachers here is also the former bass player for Weather Report before Jaco.

Opened for Maceo Parker a few times. That was cool. Opened for Kirk Whalum once. that's it.
