This Snow egg was received by Vanille on December 21st, 2004:
~ - - - - - - - - - - ~About Snow Generally snow is falling ice composed of crystals in complex hexagonal forms. Snow forms mainly when water vapor turns directly to ice, without going through the liquid stage, a process called sublimation. Snow is made of ice crystals. Ice crystals all have six points and most snowflakes are less than one-half inch across. One snowflake can consist of multiple crystals. There are gaps between the points of a crystal that are empty, except for air. When snow falls to the ground, air is trapped inside of that layer of snow.
Care of egg:
Keep it cold as possible until it hatches.

Vanille sat cross-legged on the foot of her unmade bed, the quilt wrapped around her shoulders where her hair trailed messed from sleep. In one hand, she held a stick of glue determinedly, in the other, a torn sheet of paper containing the following section from her old log. She planned to at last piece together her old Wethkin notebook into the new one - which had a lovely marbled blue and cream front cover in honor of Egg-kun - to continue to keep note of her strange life with the little boy she'd grown so fond of.
Carefully, she began to stick down all her old entries, doodles, and photographs and all. Each curling corner was smoothed with a firm dash of a thumb, and notes were added here and there to explain where each episode had originated. In her opinion, it wasn't too bad a job! She could now only hope Egg-kun would approve...Pika-Bunny

Name: Vanille Chocolat, though sometimes dubbed VC, or just plain Vanille. Age: Physically fifteen, but mentally...? xD You don't WANT to know! Appearance: A small little thing with faraway blue eyes wispy blonde curls that never want to do as they're told, despite being forced into many varying hairstyles. Tends to wear whatever strikes her fancy on the day, though her favourites include a pair of jeans and long-sleeved tops. Likes: Food! Spices and sweet things, especially. And tea <3. Lots of tea. Strange that, since she doesn't eat much. Favourite recipes include rice pudding - with LOTS of nutmeg - and gingerbread men. Also likes pillows, quilts, and bed. Follows that she should like sleep too, then. Adores her family and friends, even if she does try them to the limits, sometimes ^ ^;. Dislikes: Not much. People who aren't willing to try new things bug her a bit. When she doesn't do things and her own general laziness. Having sugar in tea. Eugh. Strange habits: Gathering mugs for her mug-zoo and always drinking with a teaspoon in the cup.

 I intend to turn this into a photo-album for imageries of Egg-kun and various doodles, but for now here's a picture Egg-kun did of himself, Nicco, and Himitsu ^ ^. A fine little artist he'll make!

Disturbed by this sudden motion, the little snow larvapuff bounced off the edge of the mattress with a disgruntled trill. Vanille didn?t even bother to peer over to see if he was okay. How rude! Even when he shrieked at her at the top of his voice, she didn?t respond. More than irritated, the tiny puff shimmed over to the widow and nudged the lock so it would swing open. If she was going to ignore him, he wasn?t going to hang around to worry about her!
Outside, it was a brilliantly cold morning, the sky clear save a light dusting of cloud on the horizon. A light blanket of snow covered the ground, unusual for the time of year but nevertheless welcomed for the interesting change it brought to the scenery. Egg-kun, still indignant about being ?mistreated?, made quiet mumbling sounds as he bobbed along above the shoots of green that protruded from the snow. He stopped though as something caught his attention and made his eyes spark with curiosity. Changing his path, he made a beeline for the withered, snow-laden lavender bush and wriggled amongst its stems to reach the bottom. Something was growing there, something tiny, glittery and pink. Egg-kun nudged it with his petit nose, then made a quiet sound of delight at the sweet, sugary scent the berries were giving off.
So, being the silly young puff that he was, he opened his mouth wide and with a tiny ?Oum!? sound, swallowed one of the berries whole. It would seem Vanille had yet to go over the ?don?t eat things when you don?t know what they are? lesson? Not that the berry did the puff much harm ? no, in fact, it improved his mood to ludicrous standards as the sugar of the Shu-shu raced through his body.
Wasn?t this going to be fun!

{13/19/2005} The reason behind this entry. Just a random little moment in the life of Egg-kun and I. Thought I should share it with you all :3!
Now, it was around eight in the morning, and she was only just stirring. Light spilled in from the slanted windows in the roof where she?d forgotten to pull the blinds, and wind chimes tinkled in the mild draft that penetrated the room. Through the flecks of hair that had wriggled in an unruly mass over her eyes, she could see the tiny white puff bobbing on the edge of the pillow.
As Egg-kun realised the girl was finally conscious again, he began to bounce his way over the pillow to blow a small puff of snow into her ear with the customary ?Brr!?. The girl shook her head quickly and propped herself on her elbows to lift a sleepy eyebrow and smile hazily at him.
?You really are a silly little thing!?
?Brr!? he puffed snow at her again. Vanille just shook her head again and crumbled back to the pillow, cupping him in a hand and pulling him close. And, after a while, they both dozed off again.

{9/18/2005} Vanille Chocolate I was knocking around in some of my old files, and I found this doodle I did of Egg-kun shortly after he reached nymph child stage. We'd been baking again, but butterfly cakes this time instead of cookies. My silly little Wethkin got butter icing ALL over his cheeks! He's SUCH a MESSY eater!
