So, I've been reading some books on guitar maintenance and repair and am working on setting up my strat. Anyway, I was thinking it would be nice for the more skillful guitarists in the guild to make picture guides on setting up their respective guitar builds and what not for those who already know how to change strings, but don't know where to go from there.

I agree with you. I've got an upcoming mod for my epiphone, and when I do it I can probably do the picture documentary deal... It's a good idea to show guitarist's that it's okay to open the backplate of your guitar or swap pickups. And that it's not that hard to do.
And kudos... I just checked to see if you'd done a post and checked it an hour later... but you waited over a MONTH to check it.... that's pretty bad on our part.

Yeah, sorry about nobody responding to the thread. . must have been during my short hiatus, because this is the first I'm seeing of it neutral
Anyway, If I ever get a decent digital camera, I'll do some pictorials on the mods I'm going to do. Among these are a sustainer, pickup swaps, some electrical, etc.
I'll also see if we can get someone to do a full setup pictorial, that would cover the bases of intonating, action setting, buzz fixing, truss rod adjusting, etc.

I honestly just felt bad about bumping it, so I debated for some time whether to post anything. And thanks for trying to work on something. Same to you Ash, I know both of you can post some rad stuff together.

alright, I'm going to post a bit soon on balancing a floyd rose from .09 strings to .10s. I'm working on it now, so don't worry. I'll eventually get it up!
