Tsukiko nodded and breathed in deeply focusing all of her senses towards the air and wind around her; listening, feeling, waiting for a response for her attention. But she was patient, so she could wait.

Doren smiled and helped his student to his feet. "Okay... now you're going to begin. Walk slowly with me." he said leading her forward slowly. "Keep focusing... The air means your life... step with it... every breath you release you step on until the earth is gone..." He continued drawing her forward. The essence of the As the Wind style was movement, the most base form was to drift along like a current of wind. You actually built a small cushion of wind chakra plied with the air just beneath your feet, by this you drifted twice as far as a normal person. Doren didn't think that Tsukiko would be able to preform the action right away, it had taken him quite awhile to do it, eventually though she would be able to move like this without any meditation at all.

Tsukiko continued to focus just as her sensei had told her and walked forward but she wasn't able to feel anything at all. She kept her cool though and was able to feel a slight change in the air around her. Tsukiko reached deeper for that the feeling again and she felt air pass under her feet slightly, delaying her step a second before it passed and her foot was on the ground. She paused for a moment, startled before she moved forward again and it happened almost imidiately after. "That's interesting."

"It takes a lot of practice to get it down pat." Doren said beaming at how fast his student had caught on. "You'll get used to it. It's a style that suits you though, it's for speed and evasion. Moving with the power of the wind leaves you vulnerable to strikes just as a falling leaf seems vulnerable, but when you have the wind on your side the leaf can not be caught to begin with." He hugged his student before beckoning her onward. "Keep practicing that and imagine the air catching your foot before it hits the ground, you'll get it eventually, the tricky part is going to be learning to move at the new pace your going to be going at."

Tsukiko blushed and nodded as she followed after her sensei, it was a slow pace because she still wasn't going to give up practicing. With every step her foot would stay above the ground longer, more air passing below her sole. She smiled, I can do this! If I practice long enough I'll be able to make Doren-sensei and Soren-sensei proud, I'll prove myself!
