It's like any other addiction, like smoking, drinking, etc... When you are pregnant, it's not just your own body you are messing with. There's a whole other creature in there that you are responsible for. And just like if you were a smoker or a drinker or a drug user, you just have to be able to make a commitment to think of the child first and your own desires second.

ED really are habbit-forming, just like smoking. But you need to have the will power to do what's best for the child.

I know how difficult it is to last nine whole months (nine months your hormones and self esteem seem to spend on vacatin at Six Flags, going up and down on the rollercoasters). Hopefully, you will just be able to remember that it's not just about you and your body anymore.

Also, how would it work if I were to get pregnant, and not really know right away, and be anorexic for the beginning? I mean, granted I will likely not be having a child anytime soon, but for referance.

A lot of really important stuff forms early in the pregnancy (like nervous system, spine, etc...). If you are planning to get pregnant, you need to load yourself up with the vitamins and minerals that will make these important systems strong (like folic acid). So to really maximize your chances of having a very healthy child, you should start eating well BEFORE conception.
