Well...

I have an upcoming, not quite yet in progress Kingdom Hearts II costume that needs help. Well, more over, I need help getting suggestions for my Sora. I'm gressing as Riku, form the end of the game, so it won't be too tough for me, as I'm experienced in tailoring my own shtuffs...

My Sora, however, is at a total loss as to where to begin with the costume. So, if anyone had suggestions on anything at all (i.e pants, shirts, patterns, fabrics/fabric colors, ways to cut corners on the cost, etc...), I would appreciate it lots, and would pass on the word to my Sora-chan. An added, thought, this costume has to be complete by december for us to romp around Disney in them when I return home to FL for a visit.

Also, any suggestion on patterns/ fabrics for my shirt and vesty/jackety thingie for my Riku outfit would also be much appreciated by our whole group. (All eight of us! =D )

I was Riku to Oni-con recently. I used fleece for my vest, as it was relatively easy to work with, and it didnt need hemming to keep the edges from fraying. (That and it made me ubersoft and huggable.)

Your Sora...I had a friend make her sister's Sora costume, but from looking at it, it seems logical to work in layers. Start with the shirt. You need a sleeveless or short-sleeve blue shirt, then sew on the pockets. Layer one finished.

The jacket, you could get a black shirt, cut down the middle, add the edging, and sew on a hood. As for the shoulder armor, youre on your own. I'm not even gonna touch that one.

First layer of the pants, all you need are denim shorts. Or dark blue shorts. The darker blue the better. If all else fails, you can pull out my good friend the dye bucket.

the black layer, uhhh...don't quote me on this. it's just an idea that popped into my head. make a pair of oversized black capris. Cut out what you don't need. Hem it, add the trim, and sew that layer onto the shorts.

for the straps and bags, believe it or not, attatched to nothing on the pants, they stayed on quite well. you could make those easily with fabric strips, the pouches, and D-rings.

hope this helps!

i recommend you to go to a clothing store , called, uniqlo. its a japanese brand,, the clothing material and style all look japanese, maybe you'll be able to find something, and if you dont mind consuming the money you'v got, you can cut the material off from the clothing, =] of course, if you bought something nice, im saying you should buy two of it thens. =]
