Do not think, just do. When your mind says "I can't do it" then push through and DO IT, whatever IT is, because once you do the motion...everything else falls into place.

Shin2 You are 50% of what you are in training, during real life encounters. So if you do not give yourself to training and do not train diligintly, then you will have no chance in an encounter, it does not matter how much skill is developed if you cannot last at least 3 mintutes without gasping for air, then baby revauleate what you need to do.

Some words of advice.......don't train using the same combinations over and over again. When in a real fight, remember, there is no pattern. Just undefined beat. You never know what could come at you next, so prepare yourself with different movements, and keep practicing alternating attacks.

Lee Retalis My Shihan says something similar to this all the time: "Karate comes from here," -points to his heart- "and here," -points to his head- "This is a small part of it." -holds up fists.- WTF?! Your Shihan watched karate Kid then, because that is what Mr Myagi says when the kis tries to quit.

Another wise bit of information to have is: Know yor opponent, and know yourself. everybody is not "wired" the same way and some are simply natural fighters watch their movements early on in a combat situation and figure out if you can actually come out on top... if not well thats what escape techniques are for
