I am so pissed off right now. My first day of school turned out to be the worst school day of my life. All my schedule plans are screwed and now I have barely any of the courses that I wanted.
I got a phone call in July about how my request for theatre arts wouldn't fit in with my schedule, so I had it changed to media studies. As far as I knew, that would be the end of it. I mean, she had just completed my schedule over the phone and I assumed no problems would arise.
So today, I get my schedule. And... What? I have two free periods? One in first semester and one in second. I'm not exactly allowed to have those.
That's the beginning. I had wanted both advanced maths and they bumped me to regular, when I have obviously achieved the marks needed and there are others in those classes that got 70s last year.
I also did not get the calculus course I wanted. And the media studies that I was supposed to get, I don't have either.
Lastly, I am taking Science 122. Prerequisites are chemistry 12 and physics 12, so I figured I'd need to take both of those first before I could take science. Turns out, I'll be having the advanced chemistry in the science 122 class before I even have chemistry. So there's another problem.
I went down to the guidance office to try to straighten things up during my "free" period and I had to fill out a form of course changes. Of course it didn't have everything I needed to write so I used the back. There were only a few courses free left in that third period and none of them were for grade twelve. What the hell? That means there isn't even anything I can take that period!
How could they screw up my schedule so badly that there is almost no way of fixing it? And how am I supposed to deal with it when all the courses I asked for were basically compulsory for me?
I needed that calculus because there is a high failure rate in university and I really wanted some beforehand background. There are people in that class that will never use it again and that's not fair. I'm going into a field in university that requires a lot of math which was why I needed the AP courses. And I can't have two damn free periods because when I go to university, they will see I only have 18 out of a possible 20 credits. Who are they going to choose first, someone that has 20 credits or someone that has 18? Plus you're not exactly allowed to have them. The school requires you have classes all day...
I don't know what I'm supposed to do tomorrow while I'm waiting around for all the problems to be fixed. I can't go to all these stupid classes for two weeks only to be switched out into new ones and have to make up all the work there.
Stupid teachers...
