i've found that an e-bow, coupled with some effects (phazer, wah, echo, octave, take your pick) is really sweet. Also, try rapid hammer-ons while holding your right hand on the fretboard near the headstock, muting open noise. They're guitar tricks really, but why should they have all the fun?

one thing i believe in is showing some seriouse attitude when you're playing, it helps people on stage too; most bands that you might see live just because they're there, if they are excited and jumping around with emotion than it distracts you from the music and that is why people are fooled and like a band because the're cool.
but i do like to try to do tricks and different ways to play sometimes, like the bending of the neck trick, i feel i get the best results from that after letting a harmonic ring. ive also seen that trick where the bass player spins the bass around over his shoulder...hard to explain hopefully you get me. also when i'm doing a bass solo and i start to hit some seriouselly high notes, ill start making extra fretts on my pickups! (i have a schecter c-4 with 2 active humbuckers)
