Eh, I'm just stubborn and committed when it comes to this.
Hey, hey, hey, don't make it about right and wrong, now. I'm only acknowledging that I came into this blind. I have personal reasons for being against this stuff as well. In fact, that's probably what fuels everything I've said.
Personal feelings are bias. Bias is a flaw to be overcome. I could easily blame my father's death on drugs and alcohol, but the reality is he died because he was selfish and unstable. If he wanted to be selfish and unstable, that's his choice. If other people want to be selfish and unstable, they each make their own choices. By choosing to get by the wheel, he endangered the safety of others, and that's a morally wrong choice, but that's a second, unrelated choice that could have been avoided without forgoing the decision to use drugs. In and of themselves, drugs harm only the user. Self-inflicted harm is not something that should be controlled by the government.
I'll choose to be bias on this subject then. lol
