I always like going to the industry panels at anime conventions... cause a lot of times companies like ADV or FUNi will have freebies to go along with trivia questions they ask at the end of the panel. xd I've actually won a couple dvds in the past... This time though, I won a Yuki hat from Furuba. xd I also got a Negima dvd via whispering the answer into my mother's ear (you were only supposed to win once, lol. So I figured since she was with me, we might as well try for two prizes. rofl ). Add to the Edward (FMA) figurine I got with buying two dvds from the FUNi booth (when she said buy two dvds and get a free figurine, I was thinking a small one. No, this thing is rather big and really well made. I think she said it was like... a twenty dollar value. Not expecting that one, lol), I think I did pretty well as far as free stuff goes this con. Though, they were sold out of FMA movies by the time I got there. crying Guess I'll just have to wait the month for it to actually be released, lol. Not like I haven't already seen the movie anyway... *whistles innocently*

I have to say, that is the one good thing about where I live. We've got two dubbing companies that are near by so even our small cons pull in some big names in the industry. Like, the old anime club president at my college works for FUNi now. But even before that, when we had a con up at the college, we'd have a lot of the FUNi voice actors and even some of the Houston people come up. We also got sneak previews of things like the Fullmetal Alchemist dub a month or so before it aired on cartoon net.
Now that was really weird... Cause like, every time Edward spoke on screen, I kept looking behind me (where the voice actors were sitting) thinking it was Vic talking. rofl It took me a while to get used to him as Ed because of that.
