Actually, Cutey Honey ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cutey_Honey ) was the first, and WAY older. Even tho I'm a rabid Sailor Moon fan, I wanted to point that common mistake out.

As for anything Miyazaki... I must be one of the few that'll disagree there. Miyazaki's style has always been bland to me (only really appealing movie of his was Howl's Moving Castle,) and Cowboy Bebop, I didn't feel too attached to it when I watched it.

If you're looking for a really good "action" show, then you said "anything Tezuka" and that includes Black Jack.

yeahhhh the original series of pokemon was the best. I still remember all the hype about it back in elementary school. The good old days =D lol. It indeed was one of the best anime series.
