So today, my 360 finally died. What would happen is, no matter what game I'm playing (even the Arcade games), the 360 would freeze about 20 minutes into the game, show a green screen, and flash those red lights*.
So I took it to EB Games to have it exchanged, and got a newer (and slightly uglier) 360**. When I took it home, I put the hard drive back on and got ready to play some Geometry Wars, when I saw this: "Trial Game". I almost had a heart attack when I saw that. Turns out, about half the games on the Arcade went back to trial games.
So I called technical support, and found out that it's like that to keep people from buying full games and sharing it with their friends via the hard drive***. They said that they will give us the full games back to me for free, if the store we exchanged at (EB Games) sent a fax to them, proving that this is our console and not a scam. So with very few games left to play and only half an Arcade, I might not be on my 360 as much, or at all.
*I had my 360 at launch, and they said this happened because the console is overheated. Which is why I can't just send it in for repairs.
**We called EB Games, and they're going to give us the Premium 360 instead of the Core 360.
***Me and my father play on the same 360, so at first the games were for everyone. But on the new 360, only the games we bought from the Arcade on our gamertags are available to us seperately. And I can bet some of you were thinking about doing this. Well I'm telling you now, you can't.

I'm scared that my 360 might die. Because I learned that the 360 got new disk trays in the newer shipments and I have the older disk tray. sad

1. Ze:The new disk tray are nice and good for the CD's and Omega was talking about the primeum silver trays and core white trays.
2. Omega: If both tags are online then only the tag that bought it can play it.

Ryath Adir If both tags are online then only the tag that bought it can play it. Yeah, I just learned that. " only the games we bought from the Arcade on our gamertags are available to us seperately." Okay, it doesn't sound right, but still.

Are you sure? I have two live accounts and both can play all games, even though I downloaded every game on halomastercap.

Bring your hard drive to a friend/someone else's 360. He won't be able to play the games you bought (unless of course he bought them too).

Omega Darkness halo_master Are you sure? I have two live accounts and both can play all games, even though I downloaded every game on halomastercap. It's only like that on that one console. Bring your hard drive to a friend/someone else's 360. He won't be able to play the games you bought (unless of course he bought them too). If you bring your HD you're basically bringing everything. He can't play them on his account because he isn't on your HD. I used to bring my HD over to my friend's house every day for weeks and we'd play my games off of it.
Then I got a Mem unit. Now I just bring my profile over, and I can download the games that I've downloaded to his unit, and we can play from there. I just have to be logged on before we open the game. (IE: He'll sign in automattically, and then I connect my controller, press the guide button, and sign in. Now we're on the dashboard, and both signed in. Games work perfectly. Maybe you'll have to "unlock" them again, but so long as someone that has downloaded it before is there it is always unlocked for free.)

So it's going to be Hell trying to play on two gamertags with one controller. Oh well, maybe I'll buy another one and get Fight Night Round 3 to make sure it gets put to good use.
