Actually, she never mentions it, but she does start it..xD
It isn't harder for Edward at that time because it is..dead blood...if you catch my drift?
Hehe. It was a question asked...It's on the Twilightlexicon.com...

I read that. I was like, "Huh. Yeah, that makes sense." Well, I'm glad it IS like that. It would be horrible if things were made more difficult for Edward. +huggles him+

Well, that doesn't make sense, because having your period isn't "dead blood." When a woman has her period, she sheds her uterus, which would then be considered dead skin. The thing is, shedding it breaks open blood vessels in the womb and when it bleeds it obviously has no way out except there. It's just like ripping a piece of your skin off. It bleeds. That doesn't make it dead, though.

...Actually, i heard many people consider it dead...it's not like you can use it for anything, what with all that's mixed in it +shudders+

Even if you consider it not dead, I doubt it would appeal to a vampire very much...I just don't see it. They like blood. Not that...whatever you want to call that mixture. o_o

It's still blood. Most likely is that authors don't want to broach that sort of subject. A good answer would be that blood from the arteries in your neck or wrist flow more freely, than your menstrual blood. And remember Bella asks him (somewhat) if they were to have sex? He says that he needs to be careful around her or he could hurt her.

Okay, back to the original topic. XD

I don't think she'll leave that hanging. From what I've read on her site and so forth, she seems to be pretty intimately involved with her characters. Plus, since her fanbase is smaller compared to some, she'd probably hear us all if we complained about it, much much easier. XD

I know why~
It's only powers that have to do with her mind. Her mind is *very* blocked off.
Edward can't read it.
(Spoilers->Highlight)

Jane's is making you think you are in pain. You aren't actually *in* pain. She just makes it seem like it. MIND trick.
Aro looks into your MIND for your past.

Alice's isn't with the mind. It's the body.
Jasper actually makes your body feel calm..or whatever. He doesn't make you *think* you're calm/whatever, you *are* then calm/whatever.

Does that help? I can try explaining it more if I was confusing? sweatdrop

sorta, like nothing can influence her mind, but then jane (from what i understand) tortures you so you are in horrible pain. i always thought it was physical pain she was inflicting but it could be that she is screwing some stuff up in your head, that would make your theory possible...

Yeah, but you only think you are in horrible pain. It's a pyscological pain kind of thing .. at least that's what I interpreted ..

Maybe, Bella is actually a witch! (See 'Did Stephanie Meyer foreshadow witches' thread). Okay, so maybe that's a little farfetched, but it does make a sick kind of sense, doesn't it? Like if she has witch blood in her anscestry? And if witches were foreshadowed, who better to be one than Bella?

But how could they make you think you were in pain when you didn't even know what they were trying to do in the first place? I mean, I can see where Bella could be thinking Jane was making her feel pain because she saw it happen to Edward but on the other hand she didn't know that Edward could hear thoughts(and he didn't hear hers) until she found out he was a vampire.

For some reason bella isn't effected by vampires (meaning she doesn't get as intimidated as the rest of the humans) and their extra powers, but i'm still waiting for some surpriseing ancestrol history or something like that to pop out explain why....

probably gonna be in eclipse...

i thought stephenie said something about bella that there wasnt really a REASON reason behind it but just that this was how bella was? like it;s just how she is naturally able to go on unaffected by vamp powers and stuff? where was that....?
