This year is going to be really hard for me. I have very difficult obstacles ahead of me cause this year I have more options in choir. I will be auditioning for the All-District Choir and then hopefully the All-State Choir. All-Satate is a big deal as you know. I also will be doing solo ensemble stuff, which I will be in a solo, then an octet. My solo will consist of 2 opera songs, Che Fiero Costume, and Gial Sole Dal Gange. After I am jusged at the districts I will hopefully get a one like I did sophomre year and then go get judges at the state level. I got a 2 at state last year, but this year I hope to get a perfect score. Besides this I have to worry about Chamber Choir and Concert Choir at school, and then the St. Louis Childrens Choir Chamber Choir... Wish me Luck...

I have District auditions this Saturday myself. I'm a bit nervous, actually, since we're in a new region and are competing with the city's Arts HS this year. confused But whatever. ^_^

i'm not in choir.
i'm in musical theatre which combines singing and acting, so it's all great and dandy!
but, we have a showcase coming up NEXT THURSDAY AND FRIDAY [ oh dear lord, we're SO not ready ] and then we'll start preparing for the musical.
we'll work on a few pieces for a fundraiser thing that's in january, and then after that, keep working on the musical itself.
then, at the beginning of march, the musical opens and runs for two weekends, and then the weekend after the show closes, we go to festival. then there's celebration of the arts at school, and that's the last performance i'll ever have to do for it for the year.
so that's what my school does for musical theatre.
i have no clue about choir, because our director was horrible, and then he left at the end of my freshman year [ im a junior now ] he was the assisstant band director, and had no clue with what he was doing for choir.
and then they got some new lady, and choir has become what i thought it should never be. so i didn't sign up for it.
and plus, there wasn't room in my schedule for it, especially since it's an after school class and i take someone home after, and she didn't want to wait or be in the class.
oh wow i'm off topic. okay, i'll shutup now

November 4th heck yes and this year I can also try out for All-State if I make District!!!!

UMM well i have a competition in oakland jacklin square, big money.
CMEA
Tour to San Diego that should be hyper cool
UMMM then i have winter concert yeah
Oh and the national anthem for home coming.

My choir is doing a bunch of major performances, then we have training camp(Three days of singing all the way through, so fun, but so hard on the voice and moral. We take apart all our music bit by bti and find what everyones doing wrong), then we have cities, then provincials, then nationals. We got fourth in our group/section/age group last year and are hoping to get third, maybe even second. XD Wish us luck.

i just bought 2 opera CD's of Samuel Ramey...
i aspire to sing opera bass level, and i am developing beautifully...
Everyone should buy this CD because I find so much inspiration in it
