The concert was amazing. To start off this group called Arsenic Etiquette did some amazing stunts with fire. Next up was a guy from New York named Sxip Shirey. He was fantastic. Then of course The Red Paintings from Australia. They're probably going to be one of my new favorite bands. :3 Finally, The Dresden Dolls got their turn. I caught one of Brian's drumsticks and got to touch both of them. XP That sounds like such a fan girl thing to say, but it was ********' great. It was probably the best Dolls concert I've attended thus far.

I never post in this guild, but I went to the philly show on the 28th. It was pretty awesome. I actually won 2 free tickets from their myspace contest (unfortunately, this was an inconvenience to my friends and I as we had already spent good money on concert tickets).
My friends and I danced our collective asses off. One of my friends tried to steal all the bubbles from the man passing them out for Ms. O (she tried to hide them in her boobs)... he eventually had to cut her off.
There's not much to say about the show-- since I'm sure that those of you who attended pretty much know how it went.

Afterwards, my friends and I hung around at a pizza shop/bar on the corner (for hours and hours).
My sister and I decided to wait outside of the theater for a bit.. and soon enough, Amanda Palmer herself exited through the door next to us. I was supposed to trouble Amanda for her autograph/picture, but I decided against it to avoid an awkward moment. My sister (who was drunk) chased her down and managed to get her signature on a piece of cigarette paper. It reads "Eran" (my name is Erin btw), followed by a heart and a squiggle that I suppose is her signature.
I'm kind of lame, I guess..
Oh well...
We also got to hang out with some members of The Red Paintings (my sister made friends with the drummer...).
I have pictures (with the red paintings mostly)... once I fix our digital machine at work, I'll develop the pictures and share some of them (if you'd like).

EDIT: We also got to meet Sxip Shirley For a quick moment... he signed my friend's pizza box 3nodding

They're probably technically on a different tour by now, but they were with Sxip and the Red Paintings when I saw them at the 9:30 club back in october - there were no fire performers when I saw them though. Great performance as always.... except the sound system went out in the middle of a song, so they had to do something a capella until Amanda's keyboard would play properly again.
And do the Red Paintings have human canvases and Japanese B-movies in every performance? 'cause that was definitely different...
My friends and I ran into the Red Paintings and Sxip after the show. The lead singer of the Paintings was a tad smashed, was filming things as such a person who'd had too much cheese_whine would(without the cheese). But they're from Melbourne, and knew of where Uralla was(I'd spent a summer there when I was little). So I was happier than happy.
and Erin, you were lucky to get more tickets! ^^
