@Oulixeus: Yeah~ I heard that it you needed 1000 posts before you could poll and get 10g for a while before it tapered down...
XD As of right now~ I still get a kick out of that gold coin bouncing every time I earn some, but I'm sure I'll turn it off soon.
I agree that it seems pointless right now, but as Karma said, maybe they'll release another feature that'll make this one useful~ =P
@gobs: Ah yes, I do think that the increase in lurking gold or "surfing" gold is releasing enough into the economy to make up for the poll gold that's being taken out... Good point. ^^
I swear everyone looks back to their own join date and think that there were less n00bs then. ...Maybe even if they weren't a n00b themselves, they just didn't explore the whole site to see everyone..
...Or as we get more games, less people are interested in the forums and we are attracting people who think Gaia is a game~
I think Gaia has slowly been hiring more staff members as they go... but they've still all got a lot of work on their hands. ^^;;

Hmm~ perhaps. I think a lot of the people who are complainging are the ones that didn't watch their gold and thought that they did receieve 10g for every post they made~
Theoretically the prices should go down, with less gold in circulation and less people able to afford the high prices in the marketplace. ...But as long as people are willing to get the gold to buy at those high prices, the sellers will sell them for that price. (>.> XD)
They also seem to be listening to what the users want. x]
.... XDD I used to hope for the DI to be bad so the prices would lower... and you'd say just the opposite everytime. ...I thought I'd never hear you say that...
When you think of it that way it’s hard not to log on to a mule real fast just for that gold.
