ok i dunno the whole reason why they split if you tell me i'll edit it in! but Tom thought he wanted people to hear his music and actually get meaning from it and he thought ppl just took blink as a bunch of guys who just played music for heck and just goofed off. so he made this new band AVA he said it was his best CD ever but i disagree i believe it is a little bit of crap i mean its good but honestly all the songs sound the same! i wonder what the 2nd CD is gonna be like! ugh its drivin me insane with blink they had a viariety of music! some for when your sad, happy, mad, depressed! i thought they were an awesome band like tom and mark had been friends since they were in high school! like come on! this is prety lame!

hey i love tom but i have to agree angels and airwaves is a good band but no one can compete to blink 182 they just rocked!!!

Yeah. All of the AvA songs sound the same. And Tom said he would make it the best.
It's hard to believe that they just ended blink-182 like that.

Mark & Tom Were such good friends.
And honestly I thought Travis would leave cause he was really quiet and had lots of other side projects.

Your reason for their breaking up is a little off, at least how i believe. Tom wanted to control the band, mark and travis thought i t was wrong and the next day tom quit, no even having the balls to say it himself instead having the manager tell mark and travis, and he also changed all of his contact info...Tom's an a*****e, he used to be cool..now he's an a*****e

Indeed it's sad that blink broke up, but they were all changing.
Personality wise, lifestyle wise...
Tom got a big head in the music industry and decided to quit the band and go off on his own and created AvA with some other dudes. I honestly don't think AvA is good at all. They sound way to emo for Tom DeLonge.
+44, on the other hand, is a great band with Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker along with two new guys, Shane and Craig. They aren't emo and sell out-ish. They're a nice comeback band from blink.

Goo_Goo_Dolls_Fanatic Hey people, whats with all the Tom bashing? Tom + leave Blink 182 + try to make a better band= a*****e I dont think Blink 182 would be the same if Tom joined again.I think hes lost alot of fans and Blink 182 will never be the way it use to be befor Tom started his period

Guess Not. Not at all, Travis and Mark both wanted to keep blink going. Thats just the way Travis is, and all of them had their little side projects going on.

aww. +44 may be my fav of the two bands but that's just my taste.. the personal stuff is really sad, but as for the music, at least Tom's trying his best and offering/doing something that he really believes in. I still can't wait to hear the new AVA CD!! and look what Mark's done with his band.. it's even better than what Blink-182 grew to at their peak (they were still climbing when they ended!), it's so much more than that!
