"I'm hardly a master hunter myself, Ezzy, in only just of age... And not really our place to as males, we're more fit to be warriors and protectors, but we'll do fine." Ewan offered, as he stood up and nudged him in the side with a sort of friendly affection. He started to pad towards the border, casually and without anything about his gait or pace that suggested he was huting.

"Besides, if you come along, we can spend some more time together before I have to leave." Clearly, he had the same idea as the Pridelander.

"But what if we don't catch anything?" The cub frowned, though he knew that no one would be watching them hunt, especially if they were out of the Pridelands. No one really cared what Ezeoha did anyways. He went where he wished to go, and not even his mother seemed to object to his actions. It was freedom he pushed to the limits, and one day he would certainly break those limits and be lost forever to the Pridelands.

"You'll leave soon?" Ezeoha frowned, looking up at Ewan with obvious despair. He paused as he reached the boarder line, wondering if he should really cross. It wouldn't be that hard... He had done it before, but this time it seemed to have more significance. With a sigh, though, he leapt over the boarder and trotted alongside his new friend.

"We'll catch something. I'll hunt until I do, though if it takes too long you might want to go home. And the person I came looking for isn't here...only you and Tufani here as reason why I'd stay a while"

Ewan kept on padding casually along, straight to where the herds grazed. He prayed in his head for a good hunt, that he may be swift and may his prey have good luck also. It was what Rahima had taught him as a cub. Their power would become his own, his food. And to go for the weak so that the remaining are stronger for their loss.

Surprisingly, the herd took little notice of the lions. They looked too peacful to be a threat.

Ezeoha was happy that he was one of the reasons that Ewan had stayed in the area for so long, but with only two reasons to stay, it must mean that Ewan wouldn't stay for that much longer. He was a rogue, and rogue's travelled. Ezeoha would be unable to stop him when he decided to depart. "I'm too small, really, to hunt, but I can try and do my best!" He reassured his friend.

Ezeoha was easily hidden in the tall grass, a lion colored for the hunt. None of the herd seemed to be able to spot him from in the grass, he was blended in well enough. It was easy for him, though, to stay near Ewan seeing as Ewan had exceptionally unnatural colors. They were surely pretty enough, but Ezeoha doubted that they'd be much good in a hunt. A prey animal could spot him from a mile away, and would probably laugh at his black butt too just to taunt him.

"Ok. Ezeoha, if you stay here...hide and scare the one I cut out. I'll be right behind it, it'll just stop it getting away. I'm going to surprise them. They don't care about us cats if they think we're not hunting, and besides, I stand out a mile away." It was true. A casual big cat or wolf could walk right through many herds without even being noticed. It was all in the posture, the stance, and the way they moved.

"I swear, they forget that I have claws and fangs as well as bright fur..." With this last remark, he winked at the golden boy and strolled out among the prey. Ewansiha had to become good at this act to survive. Ezeoha had good camoflague, but Ewan. Well. He didn't. A few antelope started, but soon settled

(I saw a documentry about something simular once. I guess its how most SoAs must survive, being black or purple blue or bright red or... X3)

Hiding? Now, that didn't sound manly at all. The cub tilted his head upwards, and frowned at his friend to show his disapproval of having such a position. It was logical for Ezeoha to be the one to hide and scare the prey, seeing as he was better camoflauged and not strong enough to take down his own prey item. Despite the fact that it was completely logical, Ezeoha still felt the right to complain. But, he did as he was told, sinking down into the grass and letting Ewan do his job.

The waiting was considerably the hardest part. It was so tempting to move and get the itch behind his ear. But moving would startle the prey into flight, because prey could be smart like that. If something was purposefully hiding from them, it usually meant that the particular something was hungry and looking at them for a meal. Ezeoha tightened his mouth, keeping it shut because he was tempted to mutter about his displeasure. Now, that wouldn't do, they were hunting, and Ezeoha would ruin the hunt with his impatience.
