As you walk slowly along a narrow, winding road you notice a smooth white path leading away into the forest.
Intriqued, especially by the chalk-like color that differs so greatly from everything else, you walk up the path. It is a strange thing that twists and bends around old pines and over a little stream, but finally you arrive at a small cottage.
Rather hesitantly, you walk up the cobbled steps to the door and then stop, debating. Finally you knock lightly and then stand, while nothing happens.
Finally, when you are about to turn away and leave the place there comes a crash and then a groan from inside.
"Just a minute!" someone calls. "I'll be right there!"
Finally after what felt like considerably more then a minute a golden-eyed figure wrenches the wooden door open, panting and seeming to be laughing at herself.
"Hi," she says as she invites you in, "I'm emeralddarkness, but you can call me emmie. Not dark please," she said with a face. "I realize that emeralddarkness can be a bit long sometimes, but still..." she broke off with a sigh then. "Sorry about taking so long, I tripped."
Looking around you realize that there are stacks of cardboard boxes everywhere, several of which are lying knocked over, the contents (clothing) strewn about.
"I just moved in," emeralddarkness said with a little smile, "and haven't unpacked yet. Still, already a visitor! Let me make you a cup of daemonberry tea. First though," with a sparkle in those golden eyes, "you need to meet my pets...."
Well, that about sums it up. If you want the cliff-notes version, this is a mini-roleplaying thread for my DaemonTheras; Shadow and Arashi (who, despite his being a lightning edition, is still an egg because he was on hold for so long...).
In case you can't tell, I am very proud of them both.

that egg is the biggest one I think I've ever seen *v*!

Well, I guess I'd better keep on unpacking. Lets see... ah HA! There's your basket!
*carefully wraps egg in a soft white blanket and then sets gently in basket, tucking plushie in next to it*
There you go...
*sighs and steps back*
Well, I guess I'd better unpack some more.... HEY! I didn't know that I still had that! *breaks off mumbling*
