Hello there.

I was just wondering how most of you began making such awesome profiles and graphics. How did you learn to create your own CSS, and what software do you use to create your graphics?

I'm asking these things because I would love to learn how to create better graphics and style-sheets of my own.

As you can tell by my profile...I'm a beginner. sweatdrop The graphics were made by me, but the CSS wasn't.

Well, I don't know about anyone else, but I learned CSS by first using this tutorial and then just searching the web and doing. I have tons of links that would take forever to post, but just Googling "CSS tutorials" ought to get you started.

As for graphics, well, take your pick: Photoshop (trial is free, program is not), Paint Shop Pro (also not free), GIMP (free and good).

Mostly it comes down to practice. You just have to get in there and do it.

my boyfriend taught me to use css, and im still learning to make graphics and fiddle with photoshop.
the best way to learn about photoshop, or any other image editing program, is to start with an image and then just play with it.

I had some HTML knowledge from my classes here at the community college. As for the CSS, I went through Elinandryth`s guide to CSS. All of my graphics (inlucding the status bar images) were hand drawn and made in Photoshop 7. (Rulers and guides are your friends in Photoshop)

Needless to say, the file size was huge. The coding itself took several weeks to figure out, but was well worth it.

Here's my profile.
