Stereotypes and the process ov stereotyping are done all the time, as a passing form ov judgement. It is hard for me to follow these 'casual' stereotypes in America - especially since the American society seems to either abundantly enjoy homosexual people, or resist their existence. It is never good to base off assumptions, and asking is the only sure, non-disrespecting method to go with*.

As for stereotypes, I do not believe I carry many components ov the lesbian stereotype, but I would not be the one to ask, since it would be a judgement ov character. So I'd need help in that department.

Note to self: Always better to ask people if they are straight in America.

After I compose all that, I finally filter down to a relevant point. Stereotyping should be preached against, but it would be impossible to eliminate all, if any, cases ov stereotyping.
