She wanted to just wrap her arms around him and hug it all away. But his earlier words kept her where she was. He had explicitly told her he didn't want hugs, or basically anything sugary. She could understand that. But it didn't make the desire go away any faster.
"Well... the brightside is that graduation is just around the corner. You'll be free soon enough," she said softly, toying with the hem of her jeans. "Besides... I didn't say you had to welcome it. I just said you had to live. You know... at least take care of the basics. You're only eighteen and this is only high school. Life doesn't begin and end here," she smirked lightly, and glanced up at him through her bangs.

"Yeah, I know." He said looking down at his hands and avoiding her eyes. "Just, sometimes it's hard to look beyond tomorrow you know?"
He shook his head and closed his eye for a moment. He refused to act like a total girl about this.
"I've had to put up with so much crap in my life ... it feels like it will never end. I might get out of highschool, but then there's university and work. Sometimes I don't know if I can face all that."

Israel looked up fully and swept her hair out of her eyes. All right. He didn't want sugary sweetness? Then she would give him something else.
"I'm sorry... but unless I'm hearing wrong... it sounds as if you're feeling sorry for yourself," she smirked wryly. "Life... sucks sometimes. Sometimes for a long time. But you're not the only person who's had to deal with a lot of crap. And I know for a fact that you are perfectly capable of putting it all aside even if it's just for a moment," she said, glancing pointedly over at the picture she had given him.

Ra took a deep breath and looked at her.
"All things I am well aware of." He said giving her a cold glare. "Don't you think I've tried? You think I like feeling like this? You think because you tell me I'm a selfish idiot I'll wake up in the morning and be all shiney and happy again?"
He closed his eyes and ran his fingers through his hair.
"That was then, I'm fed up of brushing it to the side only have it creep back up tenfold. What am I supposed to do Isreal? How am I supposed to keep it all away? Because I'm running out of ideas."

Israel moved so that she was kneeling in front of him and reached out to plance her hands on either side of his face.
"I've been telling you what to do Rashne," she said looking directly into his eyes. "You're just not listening to me." She paused and searched his face for a moment, then continued. "It hurts. It hurts a lot. I know, because I've been there. But you've got to stop trying to hide from it. It sucks... but you have to face it Ra. You can't keep rotting away in here because you're too afraid to walk out that door and face the possiblities that are out there. You say this girl has made you feel things you've never felt before? Then that's good. At least you know that they're out there. That you're capable of feeling them. Now you just need to pull yourself together and go out there and find them. She's not the only person in this world that can make you feel that way, but you'll never know that as long as you continue to stay in here and beat yourself up."
