Ankh Morpork is a big city in Discworld where everything happens. They say every road leads away from Ankh Morpork but everyone walks them the wrong way. There is a river, the Ankh, that goes through the city that catches fire every summer. It is said to be easy to suffocate in the Ankh, but hard to drown. This is where our "heros" find themselves after the worlds merge.

The river catches fire, not the city. Well, sometimes the city does. But mostly the river. However, the Ankh can be a nice, emerald green in the spring. Or the stuff growing on it can be. ...... You understand enough.
