I was just wondering if anyone has ever used a deck based on one of the characters from the show(not counting the starter decks)? If you do, this is a topic to post it, to compare it to the characters actual deck or just discuss in general.
Of course, I could very well be the only one who does this sweatdrop . So I'll start with my deck I guess.

Very nice. 3nodding Anyway, I thought about making a Jounouchi one but never had enough cards, since many of the Jounouchi cards went into my main deck.

Yeah, I also run a spellcaster deck, which has a lot of these same cards in it. Right now, I'm using this deck, but I keep all my recipes saved on my computer so if I ever take one of my decks apart I can put it back together again. I love to make decks, so I tend to have a lot of them at a time. sweatdrop
In Japan they released perfect battle city character decks for Yami no Yuugi, Kaiba, Jounouchi and Pegasus. They're so awesome, but they're wicked expensive. My boyfriend is actually going to get himself the Jounouchi one, because the two of them are essentially the same person ^^;.

They are so awesome! Though ironically, looking at the card lists the Jounouchi one is way better than the Yami no Yuugi one(I had most of the rare cards out of the Yami one, anyway sweatdrop ). And not only is it better, but it's $110 cheaper...

Seriously, Jounouchi's and Kaiba's decks are both better than Yuugi's in the show! He just has to win because he's the main character. rolleyes

Yeah, there are some things about Yami's deck in the show that just wouldn't quite work. He has some pretty amazing cards, but the main problem with it is that it's really random. It would be hard for someone to pull that off for real, at least Jounouchi and Kaiba's decks have more consistency to them.
But much worse than Yami's deck I think is Juudai's in genex. If he was a real person and not a cartoon character with a stacked deck, he would not win so often, probably not that often at all. And Shou is made out as the worst, and hardly ever duel, but if you use vehicroids the right way, they are amazing, I have pulled off some sweet combos with those cards.

I know! Juudai's deck totally is stacked! :O And Yami no Yuugi's deck changes too often as well, not to mention the totally horrible edition of the God Cards. You cannot just throw God Cards into your deck; you have to work some things around to make them work right. I thought Omote no Yuugi's deck during the final duel was much better than Yami no Yuugi's as well.

Yeah, the only way to make the god cards work is to make a deck based around drawing them and summoning them to the field. Adding three monsters at that high a level into your deck would just totally throw off the balance of it @_@. And no one is lucky enough to pull off that Queen's Knight/King's Knights/Osiris combo every duel.
But I do think it's funny how everytime he summons Osiris in the english version he says "slifer the sky dragon!" in the same overexaggerated voice everytime. It's like they just took the same voice recording and stuck it in everytime Yami summoned Osiris.
