Life was so lonely when you were by yourself. It was more depressing than you'd think. Things felt empty when Cassole died, but there was always a slim hope for happiness again. Nevermind that she had left the only home she'd known or that she was now alone aside from a run a way relative, because she atleast had a run a way relative. Things would perk up once she found Meskeet.

Truthfully she only dimly remembered details about her sister. Appearance she never forgot, but the rest..Well. In time it would all come back to her. There was no one like a sister to lighten the mood. Mable hoped Meskeet wouldn't take Cassole's death too hard. It was quite crushing.

But in order to tell her and help her through it, Mable had to be able to find her. So far she was having very little luck. She'd left almost two months ago and no one seemed to remember a dark brown pup. Simply surviving had been strenous too. Food was generally always present, a plus to being vegeterian, but finding a place to weather the night was just plain scary on some occassions.

Meskeet would definately be a welcomed site. And for the first time in nearly a year Mable smelt something vaguely familiar. Raising her drooping head and straightening her shoulders she listened with alert ears. Whoever she smelled was close, but not necessarily Meskeet. Hopefully it was though, hopefully hopefully hopefully.

She had no idea who's packlands she was on now. While Mable felt particularly guilty for trespassing, she saw it difficult otherwise to ask about her sister.

His head hurt. Well- more then that, his back leg was killing him, but the headache was taking prescience over the usual ailments. His brain went round and round and it wasn’t shutting up. He liked to tell himself he liked it. He liked the problems. He had grown up to like the problems. He’d never say it. And he’d certainly not think it- but there was a part of him that was getting damn sick of them.

But what would peace do to a wolf made war king like him? Laxed, the black wolf leaned against a rock, feeling it press against his shoulder blades. Maybe it was just the pain in his leg talking. He did like the conflict, didn’t he? Phib couldn’t imagine what it was he would do in a time of peace anyways. Had he been human- maybe he would have composed a memoir. But wolves didn’t compose memoirs, and all he really had was the strangely odd legacy his father had sent down to him and in which he shambled together in as much of a feasible shape he could muster.

But resting on the borders of his land, he realized most of this was unproductive thought. It was the only think that separated his father from him. He thought too much. Thought too much about everything.

A light sound disrupted his thoughts, and a sudden flash of green eyes peered out from the wolf’s heavy brow. A brown female was padding along the borderlines. She had her nose to the air like she was looking for something- but she seemed to be stumbling about as far as direction.

Softly, he cleared his throat, and rose to his fear. It brought a dull throb on his thigh- but it soothed after a few seconds. “Hello there.” He spoke.

It would be nice to go home again. The strange unfamiliarness of things was a bit unsettling. Perhaps she should have traveled with someone like Loup, but the thought hadn't occured to her as she'd made her hasty departure. It had been an eventful night after all and she had been tripping all over herself thoughtwise.

She jumped at the appearance of a large black wolf. Taking a step back she watched him with appologetic eyes. "I'm sorry to be tresspassing." She really had no right to be there.

Quite the uncharacteristic beta Mable would have made a far better omega. But Loup had insisted she grow to an important rank, believing it would keep her safe or atleast she would learn to protect herself. And yet it had done little for either idea.

"I was looking for someone, perhaps you've seen them?" He looked important. Surely he would know who was around this pack and the territory boardering it?

Trespassing seemed to be a hobby amongst the packs various members- although honestly, Phib had never put the word trespassing into his vocabulary. An enemy could infiltrate his ranks, they could invade- but trespassing...it just wasn’t worth the anger. With an rather pleasant grin- the kind he held for all rather pretty females, he trotted forward, his tail slowly swinging beside him. He rarely needed it up to get the message across that he ran the joint.

He dismissed it with the shake of his head. "Nevermind it. If I troubled over trespassers, my days would be filled. He paused a moment to listen to her speak.

“Well now-“ Phib remarked, and pulled his head back appreciatively. “That would depend entirely upon who you are looking for.”

Although he did have to admit- there were few faces he didn’t know nowadays.

Mable hesitated a moment and then looked relieved. She had gotten the feeling by the way he acted that he was the alpha and that wasn't generally the sort of wolf she wanted to wander into. Luckily though he didn't seem to bothered. Not like so many others she'd seen.

A shame about trespassers though. He seemed to nice to need to be bothered by constant interuptions. Such as herself.

"I don't know if she's even in this direction, but I've had little luck everywhere else. She's bigger than me, with a kind of dark brown coat, same eye's as me. Her name's Meskeet." There was some hope. Wasn't there?

Perhaps he would know her. Maybe she'd even come and joined this pack and settled down, relieved some tension. That would be a nice surprise.

Not something he had expected her to ask- but after some consideration, he supposed it wasn’t too out of the blue. Regardless of the fact that the two females shared some similarity- his thoughts had occasionally drifted towards Meskeet as of late, mostly because one of his troublesome gauds kept coming back smelling of her. Although he hadn’t exactly stuck his nose into the mess- mostly because he felt the connection would agitate Phantom on some level, and therefore perhaps serve in his benefit.

What he knew of her being a seer, however- was more limited then he would have liked.

“Well, my dear.” He paused, shifting somewhat uncomfortably. “I do know that wolf, as it were- but I am not sure if I can tell you where she is on good faith.” Well- actually, he didn’t even know of her exact location. But he didn’t doubt it was somewhere around the black forest.

“She’s taken to a group of wolves a bit east of here that can be the hostile kind. What are you looking for her for?”

Anxious as she awaited his memory the lighter sister perked to a happier mood than she'd been in in months. Finally, some luck!

Hostile wolves didn't seem to throw her much. As long as she could remember Meskeet had always favored the roudier crowd. Severing those ties now might be a bit more difficult than she had figured, but one she found her Mable had little doubt that she'd meet much resistance. Surely she'd be moved to such sadness by her news that Meskeet would gladly come with her.

How could she feel anything but sorrow? She couldn't be that much of a monster.

Never.

"I've come to tell her something, and take her home. The pack's settled more now, so I'm sure she'd have no problems returning. She must have missed it so much. Oh, it'll be so nice to see her again. She hasn't been too much trouble I hope?" She really wasn't that bad. She just couldn't be. Mable hoped all the things she'd seen her sister do were results of someone's influence. She refused to believe Meskeet could be anything but good.

Phib wished there were easier ways to go about this. “Well-“ He cleared his throat, and skewed his tail in thought. “Trouble...seems to find her more then not. She isn’t a bad girl though.” Or wouldn’t have been if Phantom had not gotten her so pitted against Audi and devoted to himself. “But I fear if I left you with that impression you might one day say I’m a liar. My own opinions aside- they say she is as dangerous as her alpha. To what extent I’d value their ‘danger’ is lesser then most, but-“ He shifted. “- still danger none the less.”

He didn’t like considering women dangerous. Oh- the ladies of the wood would gnash their teeth at him so. But he didn’t. It didn’t mean he refused to. He just didn’t like it. When a woman got evil, usually it meant something had gone terribly wrong, and he felt sympathetic. He didn’t like feeling sympathetic about enemies. And perhaps that was the larger reason why he’d rather turn a blind eye to a cunning female then to label them.

“But maybe her sister can talk some sense into her.” He doubted it. If Meskeet was any bit as enamored about Phantom as Audi had, it would be hard to break it out of her. The only reason Audi had pulled away had been half jealousy over Meskeet. “I’m no sister, so I don’t know. But if you go, I'd feel better if you let someone come with you.”
