The young blue hyena moved gingerly, after a short meeting with the lion Kikausha, he now had a very painful wound on his left side, it had stopped bleeding for the most part, but it didn't stop the area from being more than a little sensitive. He looked at his side, the three long gashes in his side reminding him why he hated lions, aside from the fact that he had to, he now had a very real reason.
Regardless, he was able to catch a small hare, small and sickly, but still food. He sat down near his den and began to eat, the warm blood of the creature giving him a feeling of accomplishment, this time the blood ment he did something, not just take the bait when a lion offered it...

Sniff, sniff. What was that in the air? Mabozi paused in his trotting. He had smelled that smell before, and MaMa told him to memorize it. He stood in place, mind churning before the answer finally fell into place. Blood! That irony, musky scent was blood. What kind of blood, he didn't seem to know, bit it was blood all right! Mabozi perked, blood was supposed to be good, at least Mafa had told him that, it meant food and other yummy things. A mad wag posessed the juvinille's tail as he took off toward the scent of blood.
Soon, he had come across the source of this scent, but it wasn't at all what he had been expecting. It was a blue hyena! Smaller than him, but it was obvious they were the same age. And he was hurt! Mabozi grew sad. That looked like it hurt, and surely, this pup was part of the pack...... Wait.... Wait for it. Yeah! He had indeed seen this hyena before, at the pack meeting, but his name; he hadn't the slightest. With a bound in his step, he ran for the hyena; Mabozi would cheer him up!
"((C'ie la vie xD))SAY LA VEEEE, B'ue yeena!"

Yakuti raised his head from his meal, he had heard that voice before, it was Mabozi... Great. He already knew this guy was Mafa's son, and that he was rather touched in the head, but regardless, he could keep him company for a bit. "Hello Mabozi." He said, wincing once again from the pain in his side. He hadn't the slightest idea what 'say la vee' ment, but he probably picked it up somewhere and he liked the sound of it.
"So... Uh, what brings you around here?" He asked, unsure about how to go about talking with Mabozi. "Come for some food? Cuz you can have some if you really want it." He said, indicating the rabbit. He could always catch another one if he had to, he told himself that it would help him to learn to tolerate pain better.

"Naaah, naaaah! MaMa ca'ch me foo'. Wa' yum!"
The juvinille grinned big, his pearly teeth contrasting against his dark muzzle. It seemed the blue hyena, whose name he was trying to locate in the vast cavern that was his head, had caught himself a rabbit. Mabozi was impressed! Try as he may, the dusty hyena could never outsmart a rabbit and catch it. Though it dampened his spirits for a moment, he didn't let it ruin a perfectly lovely day.
"Ah smel' tha'! Tha's s'inkin' uppa s'orm! Go'a wa'ch ou' coz summon migh' comma ea'cha!"
Mabozi furrowed his brows, showing that he was very, very serious indeed. This was his MaMa's friend, and that meant that he was Mabozi's friend too, and he didn't want his friends hurt.
"Wha' happen, B'ue?"

Yakuti shrugged, all the easier if Mabozi didn't want any of his rabbit.
Yakuti sat for a moment, it had always taken him a few moments to decypher the speech of Mabozi. "A lion happened, gotta be careful of those, from what I hear Mafa has tought you to hate them." He said with a smile, "You'll do well to remember that, you don't want this happening to you, do you?" He asked, indicating the scratches on his side.

Mabozi sat up straight, young eyes widening big. His dusty paws flew up, clasping them primitively over his muzzle. The pup, with a look of horror on his face, shook his head vigorously,
"Lio's a bad! MaMa say we nee' kill 'em! I don' wan' ge' hur'!"
His eyes welled up slightly, that looked like it hurt plenty! He didn't want to experience pain. He was a wuss, to put things lightly. His whispy tail curled around his two back legs, looking to Yakuti seriously,
"If I figh' and grow s'rong, I cen kill lio's? So I don' ge' hur'?"

Yakuti nodded, "Yes, lions very bad." He said with a scowl, he almost felt sorry for him, so afraid of them. But he needed to overcome fear, they all did if they wanted to drive out those lions.
"Of course Mabozi, if you get strong you can fight, I'm sure if you killed a lion Mafa would be very pleased." He said with a smile, "And if you do it quick you won't get hurt either, maybe we'll kill one together one day."

Once again, Mabozi's eyes grew wide. But, this time, it wasn't with fear, it was with amazement. His jaw dropped open as he nodded. Yes! He'd make his MaMa proud, and he'd do it with the blue hyena too! He was excited already! Of course, at this stage in his life, he was much too young to take on a grown lion, but a cub could always be worked with. Mafa had started with Ausha when he was a cub and she was just a juvinille, perhaps it was her son's turn to continue on this practice.
"YAHH! SAY LA VEEE! MaMa 'e so prou' a us!"

Yakuti chuckled, it was amusing to watch Mabozi's mood swing from happy to sad and back. Though he was still unsure of why he kept saying 'Say la vee', but whatever.
"Sure, just make sure they aren't too big, start with the small ones. If you ever find one and you don't think you can handle it, come get me right quick and I'll help out." He said with a smile, getting partial credit for killing a lion would be quite nice.
