The family reunion at the beach was fun! Of course!
The beach is named Dillan Beach after the pirate Robert Dillan who landed there, I took a picture with his statue, he was a cool looking pirate, but someone stole his cannons and plaque!!... I'll post the pics when I get them devoloped.
Before the tide went out me, my boyfriend and our friend Ronnie went exploring. They got me to climb up a 60 yard cliff and a few other steep inclines, which scared me to death! But it was worth it for the views.
And there was this area inbetween two cliffs with alittle water running through it, we explored it until we found this small tide pool area and above that was a hidden tide pool where we climbed up to and chilled for a bit after I almost fell in the icky green water below it trying to climb up. The pool that was hidden up there though was beautiful, clear, clean water and a small waterfall! It was cool, definately worth almost falling into the green smudge. On the back from the hidden area we stoped and sat and found two of the cutest frogs EVER! They were both so small, you could have placed them on a dime and they would have fit on it with room to spare! One was bright green and the other one was plan.
Once the tides went out we explored a cliff area thats normally under water. I saw soooo many crabs! Big ones, little ones! The smallest was the size of two of those frogs and the biggest had a body about the size of a CD. Some were red, some were brownish, and one had a bright green body and bright red claws! He tried attacking my boyfriend when we got to close so my boyfriend shoved a stick near him and he started snaping his claws at it, then ran off sideways! lol. We also saw lots of starfish everywhere! I touched a few of them. It was really fun... but all the exploring and climbing was such an energy drainer!
On the walk back to were his family was we saw a bunch of dead jelly fish on the beach! They were so wierd and squishy looking! By the time we made it back his family was packing up to leave. But we had and my boyfriend didn't really care, not too many people had shown up that day. And right before we left I made one last friend, a little Jack Russle Terrier that was running around, he ran right up to my boyfriends car and let me pet him. He was a cutie! And that was my exciting day at the beach, the end.
