When the flutes and clarinets have sectionals with Ms. Burroughs (as I now know how to spell it), she tells some of the funniest stories I have ever heard. Today she read us some stories she got in an email about Mr. Wilson, the band director. One time he kicked the Dr. Beat off the stand thing -- I don't remember what it's called -- and another time he threw his drill binder off it and the next day he came in saying "Why is my binder broken?" So...there you go. Does anyone else have section coaches like that?

our trumpet instructor, sparky, is pretty chill sometimes. we were having sectionals the other day and justin's like "lets tell our favorite stories from band camp and how we were changed as people" and lmfao we just sat and talked the whole time.

There was one sectional when some other people told stories too. We were all laughing our heads off so that when we finally started to play again, we had soooooo much enthusiasm.

My section coach...I can't even begin to talk about him. He drives us hard, but sometimes he can be hilariously funny. He's also very...descriptive.

in our sectionals...we usually get to work...but we tell stories of what happenned...and somtimes during class our BD tells us stories of his past...like one time a guest director accidentally shoves a Bd batton through between his thumb and index finger on his right hand. I cringed at the part...i mean imagine a batton (its fiberglass) being shoved in the spot...OWWWW!!!! gonk

our director last year spent the entire class time telling stories and when it came time for a concert, he wondered why we sucked so much...

My BD's husband did that. Straight through his index, middle, and ring fingers. He pulled it out and kept conducting, too.
