I just returned from seeing the Fullmetal Alchemist movie in the theatre down the street. There were more people there than I had expected. Even little kids wearing Al's blood seal t-shirts. They were very happy to see that I had Ed's coat and a plush (yes, I was decked out - I would have cosplayed but I don't have my boots or belt at the moment). Through out the movie I was glued... I've seen this movie at least over 10 times already in Japanese with subtitles, but I seemed like I had never seen it before. I know that movie down to facial expressions, character body movements, sound effects, lines... And watching this in English for the first time, I realized that FUNimation has outdone themselves with Fullmetal. Every single line was the same, in fact, a lot were BETTER. The voices choosen for characters only in this movie were far over great. If could find a way to contact the English script writers and Directors, I would personally tell them how I feel about all this. They did such a fantastic job, it's overwhelming.
Vic, Aaron, Travis, Caitlin, Jason, Colleen, Ed, Leah, John, Sonny, Wendy, Scott, Gwendolyn, Luci, Kelly, Mike... I salute you all for your fantastic job in this film... I wish I could hug you all because I love you all very much... *bows*

Here's some images taken with cell phones at the theatre.

Now I leave you with this truthful statement.
I have seen both the Japanese and English version of Fullmetal Alchemist. The movie and all.
Both are very different in their own way.
And all I have to say is this...
I enjoy the Dub a lot more than the original Japanese version.
That is all...

[.Lt Hawkeye.] That must have been so much fun! The premiere I went to was fantastic as well. I cosplayed as Al ; ) I met some really nice people and saw a couple of other cosplayers. (I even met someone I again who I first saw at an anime convention a few months ago) It was my first time seeing the movie, but I though it was amazing. The dub really was fantastic. Vic, Aaron, and everyone else never cease to amaze me. I can't wait to see it again! Here are some pics I took... http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e227/fullmetal_otaku/fd65eced.jpg http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e227/fullmetal_otaku/a70f9d86.jpg http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e227/fullmetal_otaku/1b3942a9.jpg http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e227/fullmetal_otaku/8f7f3ce1.jpg http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e227/fullmetal_otaku/Friends.jpg Very cool! My theater didn't have ANYTHING saying the movie was there... No posters, no nothing! But that's okay. A lot of people showed up.

I wore my Edward jacket to the movie ^^ and I met fellow rangers there and people I had met over at I-CON when I saw the movie in Farmingdale, NY which was about a half hour away from me.
I really have to agree with you though, the Dub is much better than the original Japanese.. I just loved it <33
