thats strange, ive played it for hours (prehaps a little bit too much lol) and it's never happened to me, it's overheated a few times (i did'nt get a warning it was just a bit too warm) but thats all. At least your getting it fixed 3nodding

A concil is not saposted to burn out no matter how long you play it

well when the 360 gets too hot a red light flashes telling you to turn it off.

and its spelt console not consil

If you call 1 888 4MY XBOX and explain to them what happened, they would replace it for free. They did it for me.

But consoles aren't supposed to burn out. If my new 360 breaks, I'm gonna yell at them and make them pay me back for my 360 and all of my 360 equipment

Okay theres a reason why the 360 makes a noise if you have the crappy 300 one then i dunno but the 400 with everything has a fan that cools down the 360..

alright peoples! you want the real story!? well this is why! the first series of xbox's had flaws in them. MAJOR flaws. my friend said that he had to send in his 360 a total of 3 times. once because it overheated, two because it overheated, three the game wouldnt turn on. 2 out of the 3 times it crapped out on 'em. well i heard it was because the microst co. was in such a rush to make 'em that they made potential flaws in them causing them to overheat early. the best course of action would be to call 'em up and get a new one. if you want, for extra insurance (and what i've done as well) is to invest in an intercooler. they are very nifty little things. i played oblivion from 1-5pm and i checked my 360 afterwords, it was nice and cool. they basically attach to the back of the 360 and connect your powercord to it, it goes through the 360. its pretty nifty, GET IT NOW!

i played on my 360 alot like hours and hours and it never even went red, when i first got it got oblivion and dead rising i would play every day after school, and even wake up at like 5 so i could play a little before school.

Well, I play the 360 quite a bit, It seems to only over heat when i play oblivion.. Maybe its the game, or how much power the 360 needs to run it.

idk, not sure. neways, i would just let it sit for about an hour after it overheats and try again. if u have this problem often, either:

1. send in the 360 and get it fixed/replaced.
-Or-
2. Save often on Oblivion so u don't loose, too much data
