Scientists are now saying that Pluto will no longer be classified as a planet! They are going to classify it as a "mini-planet". That's bull! It has a moon, and it orbits the sun, what else do you need?!?! I personally think that it is just a small planet. It doesn't need it's own sub-group. It's a small planet, nothing more! But I want to hear what you have to say.

Pluto doesn't orbit the Sun. It's drawn in by Neptune's gravity from drifting away or closer to the giant, flaming rock of doom. Yes, Pluto may have some gravity but I think that it's not a planet just yet. Also, it's going to be classified as a dwarf.

Funny joke...lol
Aside from that, I beleive it should be considered a planet, it's already in the books and as far as we know, it has orbit and gravity and its own moon. One things for sure, they can't really say anything if they can't even make it to the f***in moon again and technology freakin' advanced!!! If you ask me, the whole things a joke. If you name a certain object or person, you should throw a sticker on it and say that's what it is, the end! If they have to redo it, then they screwed up as a scientist in the past. Is that really the way we are supposed to do things? Just because of a few peoples thoughts doesn't mean that it automatically changes what is already named. Sorry, things like that totally get me on a role... sweatdrop neutral

It's been a long time since I talked about this but here's the new deal. From what I know, the reason pluto lost planet statis was because some team almost discovered the tenth planet. It was bigger than Pluto. They called it Eris. Even NASA called it the tenth planet. The International Astronomical Union (IAU), headquartered in Paris (figures) ((no offense Keebee)), held a meeting and came out with the OFFICIAL defination of a planet. which not only took planet statis away from Eris (the would-be tenth planet), Ceres (which is technically an asteriod), and unfortunately Pluto (whose moon Charon would have also been a planet for some strange reason). Apparently, since the Kuiper Belt has enough gravity to slightly effect Pluto, they say it's out of our solar neighborhood. That's like what happened in Southampton, England, a preschooler was forced to go to a school 30 minutes away because the city council ruled he didn't live close enough to a school that was located just down the block. How? He lived on the 19th floor of an apartment building, and if you added the vertical distance, he was out of the district. That's what happened to Pluto. ~Ends Pluto rant for good~
