ALright,since I have had a bad day today why not make it worse?
PS2 fell of the shelf
Still plays PSX and PS2 games but won play dvds,makes this horrible scratching noise whenever I try.
If I do the lens thing will it not affect how it reads games fine but will help it read DVDS?

Damn, bad luck for you mate gonk ... My beloved gamecube's fallen 4 feet off of a shelf in my basement onto CEMENT (multiple times) and all it's got are scratches heart .

I'd suggest just buying a new one (pretty cheap) or just... buying a cheap DVD player.

Pushed it off the shelf again.
Works perfectly now......kinda creepy
