In a small garage not far from the main building of the pound, a blue-hued fox could be found tinkering with a rather old silver Mustang which had been recovered from a nearby dump. The paint was peeling in several places, the rims of the tires were rusted, one of the back tires was flat; It was certainly a fixer-upper. But the fox who had been working on it for a few weeks now had plenty of patience, and not much else to do, so she was determined to bring it back to working condition. Humming a little to herself as she worked, her tail swished back and forth on the floor, unmindful of the oil stains littering the ground and what they could potentially do to her soft furry tail. Abruptly she stopped her humming, and was perfectly still except to c**k an ear in the direction of the door. She could have sworn she'd heard something...

Another blue fox wasn't far away, scowling as he wobbled about in his high heeled boots. He had knocked over a garbage can and struggled to right it. Once the strenuous job was done, he leaned against the wall next to it, pushing his highlighted hair ever so carefully out of his eyes. "That was like moving a boulder!" he exclaimed, although any one else would have noted how it was a flimsy plastic garbage can, and empty. He looked down at his shoes and sighed. "Stupid shoes."

((Very amused by him hating his shoes, for some reason. xD!!))
Eyes narrowing, the aforementioned female, whose name was Mizuki, carefully laid down the tools she had been using to pick apart the engine of the old car and creeped as silently as she could towards the door of the garage. She had definitely heard something that time... A voice. She did not like to have company when she was working; people who did not understand machinery tended to either wander around poking at delicate parts and potentially ruining her hard work, or sit aside and ask endless questions, both of which disrupted her concentration and productivity immensely. Thus this intruder needed to be dealt with, and quickly... Darting out of the partially opened door, she hurled herself upon the shadowed form of the unknown child, an angry blue blur.

((No, no, he likes them. xD He just can't walk in them yet. ))
The male cried out as he was tackled. Arms flailing, he landed in a heap, some unidentified object on top of him, squishing him to the floor. "Oof!" he exclaimed. Squirming around, he tried to push the thing on him off, unsuccessfully. "Get off, get off! My ribbon, my haaaaaair!" he wailed.

((Same difference. >.> xD))
Mizuki, being quite accomplished in fending off people who annoyed her, was certainly not about to be thrown off by the intruder's squirming and flailing. Rearranging herself so that she was in a more comfortable, less limb-tangled position, she pinned him to the ground, squinting at him in an effort to see whether or not he was someone she knew. "What are you doing sneaking up on me, you little-..." She trailed off as it became a little lighter out, the sun peeking out from behind its thick curtain of clouds. "... Dras?" She questioned incredulously, eyeing him closely. "Have you... Shrunk?"

Eyes wide, he stared back at the female fox on top of him. "Dras? Who is this Dras you speak of?" he grunted, still trying to push her off. Like Slate, she was only a child, but he was such a 'frail' kit, he couldn't move her an inch. "And I'm certainly didn't shrink! Now get off! You're squishing my riiiiibbon!" he wailed.

Blinking, Mizuki finally relented and stood to let the other fox get to his feet, as confused as she could ever remember being in her life. This kid looked a lot like Dras, and acted a bit like him... But... Dras was an adult, not to mention a feline. There was no way the two could be one and the same. "C'mere, kid," she said, grabbing his arm and pulling him out towards the light. "Let me get a good look at you..." This was punctuated by a very intense scrutinizing glare as she took in every inch of the bewildered child. He wore knee-high lace-up boots just like Dras... His shorts and belt were very similar, though he wore a more modest t-shirt instead of the older cat's mesh shirt. Their markings were similar, though this kid was blue-ish where Dras was purple. They wore their hair the same way... And lastly her eyes fell on the red ribbon wrapped around his fluffy tail. It lacked the bow on the end, but there was no way two people unconnected to each other could take up such an outlandish habit. No, there had to be some connection between the two... But what?

He got to his feet, huffing. Checking on his ribbon and then his hair, he breathed a sigh of relief as he realized they were okay, then turned his attention upon the fox who had tackled him. His eyes were drawn to the mechanical looking glove-like things she had on her paws. They were... different. But interesting. He had glanced down at his own paws to see if they would look any good on him, when she yanked him out into the light. "Hey!" he protested, not liking being rough handled. "I'm delicate~!"

Raising an eyebrow at the "delicate" comment, Mizuki decided to refrain from speaking her mind on that subject. There were far more important things at hand... Like figuring out what the heck was going on. "You stay right here, kid," she growled, pushing him a little to get her point across. "I'm going to go get someone who needs to meet you. You got it?" The only thing she could think of to do was to go and get Dras, and show him this bizarre almost-doppleganger. It was true that Dras was hopeless... But he still might be able to shed some light on the situation, in his own bumbling way.

Shooting her a dirty look, he tried to look lriled up, but failed miserably. "I'll go where ever I want," he huffed, puffing his chest out. As much as he hated to be bossed around, he had to admit to himself that he was intimidated by her and wasn't about to go against what she had siad... no, commanded. But either way, being the man he was, he wasn't about to let her on to that fact.

Mizuki had to restrain herself from laughing a little at the kid, as he was obviously trying to act tougher than he was. She couldn't let up on her scowl, though, or he might get the wrong idea and think he could work his way past her; she needed him to still be here when she returned with Dras. Giving him one last threatening look, she turned and started across the field towards the main building of the pound, moving as fast as she could. Upon reaching the building, she swung open the door and charged inside, ignoring the complaints of several younger children she had startled who had been playing nearby. She was about to carry on her march into the main hall... When she realized that Dras was one of these "young children". Rolling her eyes, she grabbed him by the wrist and pulled him to his feet. "Come on, there's something you need to see." "But Gearrrr... We were playing, and..." He whined as he was dragged off by the irate fox. Giving in to his fate, he shot an apologetic look at the children he had been playing with, who eyed him with sympathy. Most everybody in the pound knew that it wasn't a good idea to get in Gear's way.

Sitting on the step, Slate was fidgeting, un-tying and re-tying the bow wrapped around his tail. His paws handled it with the uttmost care; it was obviously important to him. The small fox sighed. Stupid girl, he thought to himself. He had been on his way to grab something to eat, but instead he had been tackled by a girl, then commanded not to move. His stomach protested loudly and he looked anixiously in the direction she had left. "Two more minutes. Two more minutes and I leave."

"Gearrrrrr..." Dras continued to whine as he was dragged across the outer grounds of the pound. "It's getting dark, we shouldn't be out here..." Having received no response, he tried another tack, "I'm hungry, are you hungry? I'm really hungry." Putting on his best pathetic, poor little kitty face, he eyed Gear tearily. Having tuned out the overgrown kitten thus far, Mizuki was forced to turn her attention to him as he shoved himself in front of her face. Blinking, she scowled back at him. "Then you should have eaten instead of playing with the children," she scolded. "Now be quite, we're almost there." Having finally reached the vicinity of the shed, she quickly pulled him aside before the child she had left there could spot them. "There's a really strange kid here who I want you to meet," she whispered into Dras's large purple ear. "C'mon," she said with emphasis as he just looked at her blankly. Tugging him into the open, she brazenly approached the dark blue child who had luckily been intimidated enough to stay and wait.

Slatean had just worked up enough courage to get up and was coaching himself to leave when he spyed the scary she-fox that had tackled him. Cursing his spineless-ness, he sat back down, watching her, eyes narrowed.
