I'm planing to move to Japan one of these days sweatdrop . But of course I wanted to make sure I could pay for it! I know it's very expensive, and that in it self is an understatment. though, I don't care so much. I don't mind being poor >.<'
I was wondering if anyone knew what min. wage was in Japan currently. Or if there IS a min. Wage? I've been looking around at apartment prices and so on, so that I know when I go there I'll need at least X amount of money times like 2 or 3 >.<'.
If I build up about 20,000 dollars before I go there and work some part time lame job till I can get into a school system, it would be good to know how much I can make minimum.
thank you for your help

I don't know anything about a minimum wage, but I can tell you your life will be a lot easier if you get a bachelor's degree in America before you think about getting a job in Japan. You need to get an employer to sponser a work visa, and most employers require a bachelor's degree (you *can* get a work permit with less than a bachelor's, but it's harder and I imagine most employers don't want to deal with the process). Plus it is very difficult to get an apartment in Japan since most of them require a co-signer and "key money" which could total several months worth of rent. You pretty much have to have an employer sponser you so they can co-sign and pay the key money.
