Hello fellow Dir en grey fans!!

Apparently there has been a rampage with picture and video "strikes." So I wanted to bring this topic up and see what the fans on gaia have to say about it.

Here is a basic what has been stated:

As stated by Free-Will America, and the Dir en grey Street Team, PLEASE KEEP ALL PICTURES AND VIDEO RECORDINGS OF THE CONCERTS TO YOURSELF.

IF YOU ARE TRUE FAN then you will PLEASE RESPECT our wish to keep your memories private.

MOST American fans have been disrespecting Dir en grey neglecting to follow the rules.

MANY American fans have been complaing about Free-Will-America's rules towards the Dir en grey concert. THOUGH the rules are DIRECTED FROM the Dir en grey management and the MEMBERS THEMSELVES.

It is a FACT that both Dir en greys management AND the members DO KNOW about American fans extreme posting.

Free-Will America will be searching the web for pictures taken after the tour has ended.

IF YOU DISOBEY THE RULES Legal action will be taken.

DO NOT act RUDE or DISRESPECTFUL towards the members.

Dir en grey WILL NOT come back to America, if such problems continue.

I suppose and I've heard that it's alright to have one minute recordings...ONE minute. And pictures posted that AREN'T from the concert. Because Dir en grey wants people to experiance it for themselfs and keep their memories sacred. But they said they'll be searching after the tour, which is in the end of September. Let's all try to be good by then!

So I suppose that it's alright to share with other people, as long as we don't post it on the internet. That would only anger them, since they were rather hessitant of comming to America in the first place.

I remember in Japan, people aren't as picture crazy at the concert, and try to please the band by following the rules in fear of what action may be taken [like "strike" of not pleasing the fans..or something, I don't know] In fact, I don't really remember people brining in camera's to a concert. It's been a while, but I believe camera's aren't allowed.

Let's please try to follow the bands rules. If not, there is a chance [I only said chance] they may not come back to America. [And if this happens, I don't care, I'll just go back to Japan..but fair warning to you!]

I don't really like the fact that they're saying they want us to keep our memories private >> I mean, a lot of the excitement comes from seeing the band performing and seeing their shows and what not.

And I don't see what the reasoning behind doing this could possibly be. Why don't they want pictures and videos to circulate and give new listeners interest in the band? >< Anger

I don't know, really. I never really thought about such a problem before all this commotion had begun. But, I remember that they have said that they don't post pictures very much on their site because they are selfish with their memories. :/ Hahaha....*hits them*

I'm not sure why memories should be kept 'private'. You'd think the band would want some publicity over here.

I think that if they want to keep from having pictures, or videos posted online, then they shouldn't even allow them to be taken into the concert. Also in another way I suppose they don't have a lot of say in that considering it really isn't their show to make rules for.

Don't you find it a little funny this comming from something with the words "FREE WILL" in it? haha.

It wasn't the words of Free-Will-America, it was merely a summary, but whatever. Camera's are allowed since it's a concert. Whatever happens has nothing to do with me either way. Even if that sounds bluntly selfish, I don't care much..

yeah... maybe we should do a little search ourselves, so that maybe anything that's been put up can be withdrawn, so that they'll at least be content, and DEG will come more often heart
I'm fearing for youtube mostly... considering personal videos of all kinds are posted there....

Just a thought...

It depends on the venue. Some venues don't let cameras in at all, others let only disposable ones. But there are always the people who sneak their digitals in, and it's really not too hard to do. My friend hid hers in the crotch of her tights xD

I told my mom about how they don't want videos or pictures, and she got so pissed! She was like, "WTF? I mean, hello, freedom of speech. They can't just regulate what people do on a public place like the internet. If they don't want to go by America's freedoms, then they shouldn't come here," and I was just like, "OMG NO! I want them to come, but I do think they should let us view pictures and what not" >< Just because they want to keep memories private doesn't mean that the fans follow that same belief. I looooove seeing concert footage! It gives you insight into who they are as people and performers. If you want to follow the same belief in keeping memories to ourselves, then you have to also say that the fans can't write up reviews or share their experiences, and if that's not restricting freedom of speech, then I don't know what is.

I'm super tempted to start a petition to give to Warcon to try and get them to repeal that picture/video ban. D:<

Don't take such an extreme action! I know it's egotistical of them to not allow pictures and whatnot. But we want them to come back! If some huge legal fuss starts up, they'll never come here.

Well it wouldn't be legal xP It would just be a bunch of fans saying "lemme talk about the concert and let people see pictures ;-;." No court would actually take a case over something so trivial xP But ya, I'm too lazy to start a petition anyway xD
