Welcome to the first ever FSFBG Avatar Contest, hosted by your lovable mods here in Gaia's largest Sci-Fi/Fantasy guild! We thought it might be fun if the guild had a little book-related fun Gaia-style. We'll try to host regular contests if this one does well, but keep in mind we're not all exactly well-funded, so donations are much appreciated!

So here's how it counts down. You bring your favorite cosplayed book character here and everyone will vote on which one is the best.

Entry will be 500g a contestant, and we'll hold up to 10 contestants. If the contest doesn't fill up in three weeks, we'll base the payback on a percentage.

Rules simplified:
-Submit an avatar that looks like your favorite book character. Props if you're wearing it, but we understand financial restraints.
-The source book must be published so we can reference the description if we want to. Please submit an excerpt describing them for us to post alongside the avatar.
-Once okayed, send your 200g to "Crystalsmuse" for safe-keeping.
-Spread the word!
-Only members with atleast 20 posts may enter. It doesn't matter what part of the guild, as long as it's in FSFBG waters!
-Only Crew members can vote, and each will get just one vote!
-Crew members can't enter the contest.

Prizes will be!:
Third place: 500g (or 10% of pool)
Second place: 1500g (or 30% of pool)
First place: 2000g (or 40% of pool)

Any extra proceeds will go towards future guild events! So what are you waiting for?
