Finished. 3 rings were placed around a large piece of ruby crystal. And it begins to glow. Gathering suddenly any mana near by into it. The rings itself starts to spin on its own axis around the crystal. Floating over the grounds.
"Ah, it works. This should work now. A little piece can power 2 to 3 houses."
"That is quite potent."
"Mm, it is. The range is pretty good to, though we still need to give it a try."
Chuckling a little bit. "I am going to need some of the minerals in that cave."
Aith'a gave the master a look. Then it dawned on her. "You..you can?"
Nodding. "Mm, I only need a good sized one. I'm not about to hurt my hands hammering into a rock now would I."
"Master..your.."
She looked to Aith'a for a bit. "Ah, sorry to worry you much Aith'a. These borrowed memories are quite hard to seperate from my own. I'm working on keeping my own identy, do not worry. I like being Celestra. And I am not my great grandmother."
"But..to awaken a golem. Isn't that a bit to much?"
"We've already awaken Draconis. And soon an entire island. I will be needing some of those ores for Draconis anyways. Get everything down with one clean swipe. They always keep at least 4 at the most. Two should be hidden underground. I'll waken those only."
Aith'a nodded. Amazed at the speed that the young master is learning. The former Master did not tell her of this..magic. Something else must have been hidden in there that must be kept secret then.
Holding to the mana booster she begins to chant, controling the mana to do her biddings.
"Let life be spread with water and air. Solidify with the power of the earth. And let the fire become the heart that beats." Threading water and air mana into a braid, the earth at it's center like a backbone. And then the fire at the center to keep a circulation running. It runs deep underground. Waking the sleeping unfound golems. Miners makes it a general rule to keep at least two on stand by when the others stops functioning.
Somewhere the earth shakes and rumbles. The dirt moved. And tan metallic like hand claws emerges. Digging itself out.
//I shall occupy myself with toys! Yeah! XD Hmm, maybe mixing coke and dr p was a bit to much a shock to my system.//

(( Thankye. *pokes at the Mentalist character* Is there Geosn in the family? O_o ))
Justin looked at the artifact again, seeming to think for a moment while nodding his acknowledgement of Faris's words. He liked working on this, and wanted to learn more. "To continue work in this area," said Justin in answer to the payment question. "Independantly, if need be."

((Its a secret whee . But I will say that he does not live on the mainland nor will Faris and Mateo have anything to say about him.))
In a sense, Faris was somewhat pleased by Justin's response. Even if he was of Runist blood, someone that understood the technology would be helpful. Though, he was used to working alone...and there was that other matter that was taking place in the ruins.
"I would have to pass it by my brother and the lord. I doubt there will be any problem meeting your demands though." Speaking of which, Faris's brother Mateo now appeared to be present in the light of the dome, who was awaiting patiently for his attention.

(( Ah~... ))
"Good," said Justin quietly. He turned his attention towards the newcomer, appraising him without words. The man acted as if he belonged there, so Justin wasn't particularly alarmed, unless Faris's expression would indicate otherwise.

Faris turned his gaze from Mateo and back towards Justin. "If you could just excuse me and my brother for a moment. I'll join you outside the ruins after I determine whether or not your request can be met." Faris turned away and shifted over to where his brother was standing. The two being in the same room made their appearance even more comparable.

Justin simply nodded and turned to look at the gorrilla-like artifact. The were brothers, all right. Momentarily, he wondered what it would be like to have a brother. At least then he'd have someone else to bear through the odd stares with him. The people didn't seem to enjoy his half-blood any more than he did.

Mateo looked over to see his brother, Faris, approaching him. He spoke under his breath so as no one could hear their conversation. "I see you got it working. About time..." He gave a cocky smirk to his brother. "Anyways, my project is nearly finished. Just a few more meters and it will be ours." Mateo crossed his arms and looked over to the half-breed next to the artifact. "Since you are finished, I suppose that makes him expendable?"
Faris looked at his brother with a cold glare. "No . He will be staying to do further research on them. Thus, I suggest you finish your project in the next few days so we can get out of here, with the artifacts at our disposal.
Mateo gave Faris a playful smile as he tried to make chastice for the cold look he had recieved. "Right. Well I'll see to that then." He turned around and began pacing back down the tunnel he had entered through. Just then he had remembered his confrontation with the woman and called back to his brother. "By the way...some women were sneaking around. Real know-it-alls. Nothing to worry about though, just keep an eye out."

Justin looked at the thing, trying to find any sorts of bolts or holes or plugs to indicate fastening. It would probably be beneficial to know the insides of the machine. If they hadn't intended for it to be opened or repaired manually, it probably would be made seemlessly, or with the intention of a rune circle to fix it.

After Mateo left, Faris walked back over to Justin with his reply. "Well, it looks like there will be no objection towards continuing your research. As you can tell, these working conditions aren't the most convenient. It is difficult to transport tools here from Lyr, and the short air supply makes it stay inside the mountain for too long. Thus, our next objective, if possible, is to understand the automaton just enough to get it back to a workshop. Since my brother is busy with a seperate project, it is difficult to get the manpower and supplies to transport this machinary such a distance. Though, it will take some time for me to get a sufficient mana supply. I suggest you return to your home and gather whatever else you might need. Naturally, I'll be summoning you once I am prepared on my end as well..."

Justin stood up as Faris walked back to him, nodding through the explanation. "Then is there anything else I should attend to before I leave?" he asked. His messenger bag stood against the cave wall, waiting for him still.

Faris shook his head. "No, I believe that is all to be said." Faris nodded and turned away from Justin and towards the tunnel leading back. "Be cautious on your return. I shall send a messenger for you if not myself when that time occurs..... Take care." With that, Faris left the dome shaped room and returned to the main passage, where he slowly paced into the unlit sector of the ruins.

Justin nodded, and picked up his pack. He left all his supplies except the stuff he'd need for the return journey: food, water, shelter, sleeping bag...
He shouldered the lightened pack, and walked away.

Mateo stood over the crude, gaping, hole that occupied the center of the cavernous dome. The jagged pit had been drilled and picked at for thirty nights untill they had finally dug deep enough to hit their prize. Mateo awaited in great anticipation as the coffer was lifted via rope out of the hole and into the lamplight of the largest room in the "ruins". The truth was, these mountain passages weren't even ruins at all. They may have been inhabitable at some point, but the generation that they were researching was not using the golems two establish a habitat, rather to pursue a rumoured item that was already present.
When the coffer came into view, it did not look much like a coffer at all as it did a coffin. The size of the chest seemed to overcompensate the supposed item it would contain. The coffin was placed upright, measuring at about 7 feet high. Mateo removed a kukri from his belt and pried open the dense wood panel, causing an uproar of dirt to scramble to the floor. When the dirt settled, the light from the lamps illuminated the inside of the coffer and presented a lifesized bronze statue of a female. Mateo ran his fingers along the monument with a curious expression, for he certainly wasn't expecting this. The statue was very precise and realistic, truely the work of gifted hands. Though, an interesting aspect that Mateo noticed was that there was no definition in the females face. In fact, it was left smooth and blank without any expression or facial features whatsoever. Mateo could not identify any reason for this attirbute, but he could identify the item that lay in the bronze maiden's hands. Mateo removed the small circular device from the statue and flipped it open two reveal a swiveling needle and some cryptic symbols. The compass...now to just find out how it works.
Mateo turned to his loyal workers who were awaiting an order. "Fill this hole and pack up all the equipment. Then, you may return to Lyr." Mateo slipped the compass into his pocket and glanced over to the mysterious monument. "That will go to my brother. It will make a good addition to his study. " Mateo nodded with a grin and retreated into the shadows as his worked picked up their shovels.
