Sounds like a title of a book or something huh?
Anyhoo, with my recent spamming of the general discussion forum (with pictures no less xd ) I though i'd make a topic that goes in the right place for a change *is an abuser of power and proud*
So... got any writings you particularly like? Found them on ff.net? Want to talk about techniques or something? Then this sounds like a good place to do it!

Anyhoo...
I'll just start with talking about drafting your stories. Something of only just recently started doing. And i'm not posting anything til i completely finish something.
And while i'm wandering around with writers block i write up more ideas. Like my recent one. I've decided to do a number of one shots to keep me happy and in a trilogy type format (3 one shots that link up)
And in doing that - i've cut my original trilogy down a lot that i may be able to fit into one story! yes! *punches air in victory* two at most... otherwise there will be two climaxes in the story and i don't think that will be very good.
I'm going to exlore some other ideas that i had in the one shots. Sounds much more fun to me.
I changed s few other things as well but i'm going to keep that a secret or there maybe a public killing of yours truly - courtesy of le Panda-tan. Unless she agrees with me of course ^^;
So i like my drafting processes. Now how i'm going to balance this with my studies i have no idea....

Um... on topic... On topic...
I've been playing a lot with my storyplan for obsession lately. That's been exciting. I've discovered that I have a tendancy of adding subplots while I write. I did the same thing with innocence. Stupid subplots. They take up so much effort and ENERGY.
Not to mention memory because I have at least 5 subplots and they're all floating around in my head.
heh heh I have floaties in my head.
Anyways. I really have nothing else to say... except that I find stereotypical castings just too hilarious for words (I was reading yet another Balcov!Tala Rape the other day) You'd think that storyline would get old
Ok... so I've been guilty of using it.... several times but REALLY. It's almost as bad as the whippin' room storylines.
Speaking of- do you KNOW how many AFF.net stories are based on torture scenes and rape?
Methinks some people need to stop watching the news.

of course you do! heart probably not... i just kind sorta... deleted a character and kinda sorta decided not to kill Tala - just send him on a very looooooooong trip.
Ah subplots.... hence my one shot plan.... ^^
And all those torture ones make me laugh. Speaking of whips.... and bondage now... i actually used it in real life. Someone was trying to tie me up computer cords.
Me: Stop that.
Other person: Haha! No - i'm going to tie you up and there's nothing you can say to stop me...
Me:.... Kinky....
OP: .... *thinks about it*.... *takes cords back*.... you just had to ruin my fun...

Ah everyday situations helped by my reading of ... umm... questionable fics... ^^; (has managed to stay on topic)

lol - back in the day....
still overused though ^^ - i mean really... ch... that's a serious topic, and people go flining it everywhere - can't you people write angst with something else?! (<- angst obsession still present but very very bored... and so it is now going somewhere... in some fic.... later....)
I was thinking about genres the other night....
so far i have few... for the drafts at least....
Drama/Romance/Angst/err...Action...maybe/... Mystery... slightly (yes i'm going with the detective theme/ Comedy... (that's mainly to break up all the drama *points at Taki* that's also his job...)
i think i'll settle for Drama/Romance.........yep... i'm going dramatic.... maybe not soap opera like but eh.....

My personal favourite is Tragedy. It's a great way to ruin the ending of any story.
I'm proud out of my 20 or so stories only ONE doesn't have romance in the genre. wow!
I know what you mean about the scary emo stories. ALSO the stories where everyone is being tortured for no apparent reason other than it seems like the thing to do.
You know, the only torture fic I have adored is Intoxication by Missie2
Although at least there was some motivation behind said torture... ok so it was because the guy was insane but it was THERE.
also was amazingly well written etc. You read it?

i'm quite fond of stories where someone dies at the end... ESPECIALLY one of the main characters - don't know why though...
and may have read it... i'l have to check.

You'd remember it if you'd read it. -trust me- it's going to stay with me for the rest of my life. It also inspired a brief run of opera obsession.
ESPECIALLY an obsession with Ave Maria.
Which was why I was SO pissed off when they used that song in an OC ad.
It's just wrong to associate something so beautiful with that

Well i'll have to go find it won't i? And this is rather random but - i kinda love shoujo mangas at the moment. like that one down there v in my sig. Yay for fluffy romance stories with heart wrenching endings which is going to make me cry *trundles of to animetraffic* O.O ... they have beyblade manga now... and VIZ titles...
*ahem*
what was i going to say? Oh right... i like sad endings. Guess what's going to have a sad ending ^^

That as in possibly the most unholy thing I've ever seen.
WHICH isn't necessarily interpreted as bad just not the sort of materials you expect to see the Hail Mary associated with (Ave maria is the hail mary sung in Latin)

yes - animetraffic is getting in viz title now - surprisingly... they have umm volume 13... but that's about it.
Still say go on a trip to Singapore and get the rest...
