Been there, done that!

When you beat a game in two days or less...

You know you're addicted when...

-your having a conservation with your friends and every so often you have to make a reference to the current game your playing
i.e. "Oh yeah I totally get what you're saying about people forcing you to go somewhere to get something that seems utterly pointless! Like when I had to go to Fire Mountain to get an item to get to the next area!"

-....every few sentences you say you have to sing out "Snake Eater!!!" (<----I recently finished MGS 3 so that's probably why... ninja ) or the theme to a certain game.
i.g.Like when you get handed an item you can't help but hold it up in accomplishment and sing a little tune (like Legend of Zelda for instance)

When you've played Halo 3 so much, you can beat the thing on Heroic in less than a few hours. (mabe...five tops)

You can quote the lines from every Halo cutscene (1,2,and 3) and mimick the voices. (I have a killer grunt voice and can do the gravemind very well.)

You draw characters from the games non-stop

you know every bit of information on the game, even stuff that's behind the scenes. (I knew so much Halo stuff, I guessed the plot of Halo3.)

When you've played Oblivion so much and use sneak so much, when you try to sneak up behind someone, you get into the same crouching position. (done it XD)

1. You know your addicted when you start calling objects an "items"
2. You know your addicted if you get a bruse and think "I need healing"
3. You know your addicted when you threaten to slay your annoying brother

When you never use your television to watch television.
