Hmm... maybe I'm just a sucker for mushy stories and happy(ish) endings, but I really wouldn't want to see more in depth Cullen history. I mean, I do like finding out a little bit of their past, but sometimes it just drags. Like that scene in Twilight where Edward's telling Bella about Carlisle's whole journey, I was like... jeez, can we get a summarized version? I agree that sometimes it can be a little over the top and unrealistic, but without the whole Bella/Edward element, I'd just be bored. Jeez, okay what I'm trying to say is, I think the whole family history thing should remain a subplot. Whatever. I don't think I'm making any sense. xd

Shimoya ``SweetlyNumb`` To be honest with you guys. I want to know more about Jacob Black. He has got to be my favourite character (especially after reading New Moon). There just isnt a lot about him in Twilight, but more does come out in New Moon.
About the Cullens...I do love them. Especially Alice and Jasper. They're my favourite couple in both books. Jacob, that's the Native boy who helped Bella figure out Edward is a vampire right? He didn't have a big enough part in Twilight for me to get a great liking for her. All we really know is that he may be a werewolf and that he (along with every other male in Forks it seems) has a huge crush on Bella. I wasn't too impressed with him. After New Moon... you will be. <3

You know, in the first book, I didn't mind Bella. Even liked her. But after reading some clarifying things on this forum and reading New Moon, I realized...her character is really just...annoying and boring. So I agree with you on some parts.
I really like Edward, though.

It's alright not to like them, that's your opinion.
I personally love romances like that, and hope that all the history-vampire-ness won't take up too much of the next few books.

I can understand where you're coming from.
But I think the book is so popular exactly because of what you don't like much:
Angsty love that teenagers like us simply adore. Me myself included. rofl
