It's about time. How contradicting that a real-life show like that trying to teach young people life values and lessons isn't allowed to air an episode about something like abortion. I've never seen the show myself (I'm trying to get around to it), but wasn't there an episode about rape? You'd think that would be more controversial.

There was an eposode where a girl got raped, yes.
There was another when a girl took ectasy (sp?).
There was one when a boy got drunk. He was around 14.
All of those were shown with no problem.

Off topic, but is you username the same Kokopelli I'm thinking of? whee

But wait! There's more!

-A school shooting.
-Several instances of substance abuse (all of which were illegal), including one character taking another's Ritalin to improve his athletic performance.
-Several instances of pre-marital and casual sex
-One character falling into the trap of an internet predator
-Gay and lesbian characters
-Several instances of infidelity
-One character hacks into the school's grading system to impress another character and go to a rap concert with him
-One character is repeatedly abused by her boyfriend
-A video of a drunken character flashing her breasts is used as blackmail against said character
-Homophobia (though, in one episode it's a Christian who is insulting another character based on his sexuality, so it's OK!)
-Cutting
-Mental illness; one character has bipolar affective disorder
-Child abuse
-Contraction of STIs
-Pornography; two male characters get caught by one of the character's parents watching porn on the internet
-Anti-Muslim sentiment; one character is so ashamed of her background that she pretends she is of Jamaican descent, and another student's Muslim display is vandalized
-Theft
-Eating disorders; one character is anorexic, while another character (a member of the wrestling team) abuses laxatives to get into a lower weight class

It's a long list. Some episodes were altered, but Accidents Will Happen is the only episode to be banned in America. It's lovely how nothing in the above list is nearly as bad as abortion.

Wow, I missed a lot.

Yes, it is rather amazing that homophobia is somehow not as bad as killing a pwescious babie.

Well, on that part I'll give them that they're using it to show that homophobia is harmful... but I guess since it didn't show that abortion was harmful they couldn't show it. x_x Lovely.
