I have this nagging feeling that Lupin is going to die, but then again for the final battle I see this huge explosion that would wipe out most of the wizarding world. This is only after a bunch of unimportant muggleborns are tortured and killed, oh yeah and Hermione HERMIONE MUST DIE!

Pandalover263 Okay, SOMEBODY was gonna do it if I hadn't done it first. We're gonna talk about dead people in the series. First of all... the people that have died: Cedric Diggory Sirius Black Albus Dumbledore And, as Lhia_Dunwaith pointed out, Bertha Jorkins Frank Bryce (the Muggle) Barty Crouch Sr. You also forgot Karkaroff. Someone(A member of the Order of the Phoenix, probably Mr. Weasley) mentioned they found him dead.

I'm really not sure who'll die, but JKR has said on many occasions that the books are serious, not fairy-tale little kid stuff so I think she won't be sheepish about killing off alot of people. Like she did with Dumbledore. But who knows? I hope not anyway!

I know that some people are going to be angry at what I am just about to say and please do not mistaken my purpose of writing this.... I think that Harry Potter is going to die although he will still appear throughout the whole story after he is "dead" what I am trying to say is that remember that arch room back in book 5 in the ministry of magic? from that room harry could hear some voices and that's also where Sirius died so maybe that arch door is like a door to the next world or something like that harry would be then somehow be able to travel through the next world and the present through this door. and also another reason why harry has a high possibility of dieing is that harry might have been Voldemort's horcux and he figures that he must die inorder for voldemort to be really killed forever

Let's see...
Most of the Weasleys, Grawp, Hagrid, Lupin, a bunch of house elves, some random death eaters, and Hermione..
Ok, J.K.R.'s not gonna kill off THAT many people, but it was just an idea..

Honestly, I don't know which of the mains are going to die, but one thing's for certain: Whenever Harry gets particularly close to an adult, that adult dies, so I'm pretty sure that either Lupin, Hagrid, or the Weasley parents (or all of them) are going to kick the bucket.
Whether Harry dies or not...I think it depends predominantly on if he's a Horcrux or if he isn't. I've heard a bunch of theories out there, and I don't really know what to believe. Then again, I'm the kind of person who'd rather just read the book and see for myself. Still, if he's a Horcrux, he's probably going to die, since they all have to be destroyed.
Rowling herself said that she was going to spare a character she'd originally intended to kill, though, and to me the most logical course of action would be to kill Harry in the end. Does that mean Harry's not going to die? Or maybe she'd had something completely different in mind...
