"What a find...?"

Grabbing the last box from the back of the large removal van, Felinxis placed it on the ground and surveyed his new home. His old apartment in the city had been uncomfortable, shabby and all around bad. So he sold the dank apartment, packed up and moved to a nice, two-storey home in the country.

“Hey, hey Felinxis! Is this our new home?” queried a small feien fairy that sat atop Felinxis’ shoulder. “Where’s my room gonna be?” continued Anthemius.

“You’re too small to have your own room.” came the reply from the tall elven male. He didn’t have time for the small, semi-annoying fairy right now. “Your room will be… wherever I think it should.” Felinxis concluded, picking up a box and entering the house. It was time to unpack.

“I want to choose where I will live!” argued Anthemius, as he fluttered into the house, following in Felinxis’ weary stride.

“Fine.” said Felinxis without a care. The feien changed his mind all the time. He just wanted it to be quiet for once. “Do me a favor, help me with the boxes.” Felinxis grinned a hidden grin. The fairy would be there for hours trying to lift the box. That gave him plenty of time to unpack his mass of boxes. “I never knew I had so much stuff…” He uttered as he began.

Thankfully all of the large furniture had been moved into the house. All Felinxis had to do was unpack the smaller things. A job that would prove to be more tiring than one would think. After hours Felinxis was down to the last box. It just happened to be the one Anthemius was still trying to lift.

“Just wait, I’ll get it!” cried the Feien in determination.

“Oh I am sure you will!” Felinxis said in mock-encouragement, slowly moving around the box, where the fairy could not see him. The Elf bent forward and lifted the box, looking at the Fairy as it smiled wide in pleasure. Anthemius cried out in pride.

“Look at me! Look, see! I can lift this box.” Anthemius shouted proudly.

“Mmmhmm… you certainly did. Now let’s get this inside.” suggested Felinxis as he tried hard to hold back a small giggle.

The two lifted the house and unpacked it. Placing everything where it ought to go. At least where Anthemius thought it should anyways. Finally everything was finished, so, tired from his days work, Felinxis trudged up the stairs and collapsed on his bed.

In the corner of his eye there was a small shimmer of light. It was just enough to attract his attention. Felinxis swiveled on the bed and with a few quick steps, was where he saw the faint light had come from. “How very peculiar.” He uttered as he examined the seemingly flawless wall. “I wonder…” and he tapped the wooden walls with the back of his finger. A hollow sound was all that answered, but it was all he needed to know, and he headed downstairs.

Moments later he returned, hammer in hand, and his little Feien Fairy hovering in the background.

“Whatcha gonna do Feli?” Asked Anthemius, using his nickname for his bonded guardian. An “Oooh” followed shortly after when the fairy realized what his master was going to do.

With a few carefully aimed hits, Felinxis had made a hole in way big enough so he could pry off the rest of the wooden frame. It only took him a few moments to remove the rest of the wood, and so revealing a small room, only big enough for two people to stand in.

In the darkest corner shone a small, crystal, giving off a beautiful glow, and Felinxis was immediately entranced. The elf heard a small noise from behind him and knew it was the Feien, also entranced by the small crystal that seemed to be shining in the darkness.

Felinxis bent forward and pick the small ornament, and turned it over in his hands. It was the shape of a dove in mid flight, made of crystal; it was elegant and looked to be perfectly carved, giving off a soft shine whichever way he turned it. Attached to it was a white ribbon, which looked to make the ornament into a necklace.

Without thinking Felinxis left the small, hidden room and, with the crystal dove in his hands and Anthemius flapping behind him, grabbed a small cushion and gently placed the jewel upon the satin pillow, all the time wondering what this small discovery could bring.

"An Understanding"

Two bad days in a row had not been kind to the Death Iridae and she was in a foul mood. Definitely a foul mood. In fact, The Medium was looking more daunting today than she had in a very long time.

Usually at least somewhat manicured hair was a mess and she had bags under her eyes. Medium was seriously wondering if the Higher Ups were doing this just to mess with her with their petty revenges.

It was the blast of her crystal's light that broke her train of thought. Another Iridae already?

Damn.

"Who in bloody hell fell this time?" she muttered as she puttered towards the crystal to stop the blinding light.

Out for a pleasure drive, Felinxis was in his old, brown Ford, buring up the streets of Gaia at 30kph... He was such a speed demon. In the car with him was his small Feien, Anthemius, and the pendant he had found when he first moved into his small home on the outskirts of Aekea.

Ever since he found the dove-shaped crystal, he had somehow been drawn to it, taking it with him wherever he went. The Elf didn't know why, he just did it, without reason or question. It was like the crystal was becoming part of his life.

Now it seemed to be doing something that had never happened before, it seemed to be directing him to somewhere... Felinxis didn't know how this was possible, and was about to object when they pulled up infront of a house Felinxis had never seen before.

"Weird..." He stated simply.

He got out the door with the pendant in hand, and leaving the feien in the car, approached the house cautiously.

The sound of an approaching car wasn't easily missed by the Iridae and she sighed. Already showing up? Well, apparently the Innocence guardian worked quickly.

Moving towards the front door, Medium opened it before the man had a chance to so much as knock. Staring long and hard with her empty eyes, the Medium seemed to be looking into the man's actual thoughts - even though she wasn't.

She had no such powers.

Not saying a word she turned, leaving the door open as an obvious invitation to have the man enter. She wouldn't waste her time speaking when she didn't have to. If Felinxis wasn't smart enough to enter on his own then he wasn't worthy of Innocence.

Felinxis took a small step back as the door opened, revealing the white haired Medium to the tall elf. When she walked away without a word, Felinxis was compelled to follow after her, it was as if the pendant had once again instructed him to follow.

Felinxis looked down at the crystal dove and uttered a small word, "Where on Gaia are you taking me?! She could be a killer for all I know!"

Although he spoke of the mysterious female figure in the way, he hoped it wouldn't turn out that way. But he followed her anyways, not speaking a word to her. He felt as if being silent would be best.

The Medium made her way through a bright, colorful curtain of beads to sit down in her usual chair before the crystal, adjusting herself silently before turning and staring at Felinxis from behind the rows. They refused to move for her, for whatever reason.

A few moments of silence, Medium sighed, "Are you going to come in or are you going to stand there all day?"

Her voice had a monotonous quality and she did not show any emotion. In fact, she did indeed look like a killer.

Technically, she was.

Not wanting to upset the strange woman, and eager to find out what was going on, Felinxis positioned himself opposite the Medium and her crystal.

What had he gotten himself into he didn't know, he just wanted to find out.

Finally he plucked up the courage to ask. "Who are you? Why am I here?"

"I am Death, and you're here because you're bonded to one of my kind. The Iridae of Innocence which is around your neck. In fact, Innocence has been feeding off your life force since you put it around your neck..."

A slight smile touched her lips though it looked far more disturbing than the emotionless face, "But I wouldn't worry, it's not hurting you."

Felinxis' mind went into overdrive. He was a guardian.. of a pendant? How stupid did this woman think he was, its no like he was born yesterday.

"Excuse me but do you truely expect me to believe anything you have just said? I'm not an idiot." He stated, yet a tingle of curiosity remained in his mind. What if she was telling the truth, what if there was some sort of spirit inside of the pendant that had been feeding off of him..

What an intriguing situation Felinxis had come into.

The Death Iridae narrowed her eyes into dark slits at the man's words. What an impertinent little s**t! The woman stood up, taking a few steps toward Felinxis, though she was still quiet and refused to voice her opinions. Still, the aura around her was vibrating with something unpleasant.

Wordlessly, The Medium reached out and snatched the crystal off the man's neck, holding it in the palm of her hand. The moment it was removed from him an aching feeling of loss would come over him, consume him. He would feel nothing but the desire to replace the necklace.

In the palm of her hand she felt the spirit shudder from the detatchment of his Keeper's soul - but Medium held strong. What would Felinxis' reaction be?

Felinxis was about to protest as the woman snatched his pendant from him. It wasn't hers to take! He would have a few words to say to her shortley...

And yet he couldn't, He didn't have the energy, He felt overwhelmed. A feeling of loss, stronger than any he had felt before flowed over him. He couldn't stand it, sumping to the floor and using the table as a support. What sort of magic was this witch using?!

"Please! I.. I'm sorry," His attempt at am apology was feeble, but it was all he could manage. "I.. believe you."

The pendant was replaced upon his neck and the woman stepped back, crossing her arms over her chest, "Take that necklace off for longer than a few minutes and you kill a part of yourself and you kill the child inside. Should you kill the child inside, I would have to kill you. Are we understood?"

Medium returned to her seat, "Now. That spirit is an Iridae. A guardian of Innocence - as I am the guardian of Death. Unfortunately, we all make mistakes and are cast down. That one needs to redeem itself."

He felt energised oncemore as the pendant was returned. "It wont leave my neck again.." He didn't want to go through that experience again, certainly not soon or at any point in the future.

He listened to her words with intense concentration. "So is a child inside this dove, and I have to help it? And its an iri.. Iridae? SO what do I have to do to help it redeem itself?" He asked.

"You can't do anything - It's all up to it," she answered, sitting herself back down on her chair, "You just take care of it as if it were your own child. It is, in all actuality, a part of you just like a biological child would be."

A long pause before The Medium spoke again, "That's all I can tell you."

"So I just take care of it? Well... when does it come?" He looked down at the pendant, curious as to how such a small ornament could contain a child.

He was glad that he now knew what was going on with his pendant, and it was good to have an explanation. Now he had to prepare for some sort of child. Hopefully it wouldn't be too much trouble.

"When it's hard enough of your life force to crack the crystal and form a solid body once more. It's different for every one." Why was he still here? Well, she really didn't feel like answering any more questions.

Standing up, The Medium uncrossed her arms, "That's quite enough. You can find your own way out."

The lights dimmed to nothing as she walked out of the room, once more not disturbing the curtain, and disappeared up the stairs.

"Thanks for your help." He muttered as the Medium left. Felinxis clutched the pendant tight and left through the same dorr he had entered through. It was an interesting turn of events to be certain, and he wasn't quite sure how to take it.

One step at a time...

13 - 10 - 06 :: Diary of Felinxis

Okay. Here is the deal. A while ago I found this small pendant in the shape of a crystal dove in a small, hidden cupboard in my bedroom when we first moved into this home. Ever since I've worn it wherever I went. I didn't think anything of it. Its a necklace, thats all it should ahve been right? Wrong. Turns out it contains some child. A guardian of Innocence none the less. My parents told me I was in for a surprise when they sent me to Gaia. I just wasn't expecting this sort of surprise.

Anyways, I found out about it the other day when we were out for a drive. The crystal directed me to some weird, creepy old lady's home, where she told me about it. She said we had a fatal bond, and to further prove her point, she ripped the necklace from my neck. I felt helpless after that, I could barley support myself. I was so weak. Thanks lady. It really wasn't needed. I hope I don't have to speak to her again.

So. I'm going to be some sort of father now I suppose. Its not like I haven't been through it before. Not with that small fairy that I took guardianship over. Who would have thought something so small could be so... complex to say the least. Anyways, back to the current subject. I guess it will be good to have someone around the house that I can put most of my attention on. And its not like the house isn't big enough for a kid. I have three spare bedrooms.

Its just worries me that its some sort of Guardian. Who knew what sort of powers it would contain. Great, I'll be raising some super-magically inclined innocence child. Well hopefully it would be too bad, since its a guardian of innocence. I wonder when it will turn up. Who knows, its not like that lady was helpful in any sort of way. Well I suppose there is nothing I can do now but sit back and wait.

Oh crap. I need to get stuff for it... looks like a shopping trip for me.

Where can I by kids stuff...

"Shopping Trip!"

With the news that the crystal dove, laced around his neck would soon reveal a child, Felinxis had been out shopping for... supplies. He didn't know what sort of things would occupy a young Iridae's mind... whatever an Iridae was.

His old car pulled into the driveway and, before exiting the car, Felinxis leaned over and grabbed several bags of goods. He locked the car and headed inside the house, releasing the goods on a small desk in the childs would-be room, and promptly arranging them in their supposed positions. For now the itesm were only to occupy a small child's mind.

"The Crystal Cracks. Finally."

Bang. Crash. Splat.

“Feli! Help me please!” Cried a small fairy from the kitchen downstairs.

“Not again…” Muttered the housekeeper as he lurched from his relaxed position atop his bed.

He placed a copy of ‘Grass for his Pillow’ at the foot of the bed and exited the room, heading down the large, ornate staircase to what would surely be a messy situation. The fairy always seemed to be getting into trouble. It was a habit of his and one Felinxis had tried to break, with no such luck. So he was stuck with an over ambitious fairy for now. Maybe when the Iridae child arrived things would be different…

He rounded the corner with his eyes clamped shut. He wished he had magic like others he had seen around Gaia. So he could turn back time, or fix things in a snap. But Felinxis had no such luck, so opening his eyes and realizing the true damage that had taken place, began to clean with a lot of remorse to adopting the small Feien, which he would soon resent later on.

After scraping up the tiniest pieces of glass from the antiqued-tiled floor, and wiping down the splatter of jelly that had somehow made its way onto the window, Felinxis was done. Finally he could get back to reading his book. About time too.

On his way back to his bedroom Felinxis felt a small tug on the dove pendant he still wore constantly around his neck. Never again did he want to go through the feelings that had washed over him when the Medium had forcefully removed the crystal dove from his chest. He prayed each night that he would not meet her again, but a sinking feeling told him she would play a big part in his future. Both his and the child’s.

He ignored the thump, thinking it was some sort of enchantment that the child within had cast upon the dove to get attention.

When you’re out you will have plenty of that, no doubt. Thought Felinxis as he laid himself out on the double bed, taking up his book and starting again where he left off.

Shortly after he began the book, Felinxis was feeling tired. It was unusual for the elf. But not unusual enough for Felinxis to think anything of it. He closed his book and laid it on the side table, grabbing his pillow he dozed off for a short nap.

His dream was strange. He dreamt he was floating in thin air, and there were voices talking to him, telling him to prepare, that the time was near. He couldn’t see the people; they would just turn into shining lights whenever his dream body turned to look at them. He shook in his sleep, twitching and moaning until he finally awoke.

“Something is going to happen.” He stated as soon as he woke from his slumber, and he had a vague idea of what.

Felinxis didn’t know how the child was to come, and right now he expected this point to be the time where the Iridae would magically phase into existence right in front of him, replacing the dove around his neck. However, what would happen next would be quite the opposite.

Felinxis took the pendant from his neck and placed it in the palm of his hand, staring deep into the crystal, trying to find some sort of hint of the child that was ‘inside’. He found no such trace, but was content to keep on staring. Something was sure to happen.

A small pulse of magical electricity shot down his arm, awakening the elf and telling him that it was almost time.

Almost time for what though? He asked himself as he held the pendant tight.

The pulses became more violent on his hand, and without thought, he dropped the pendant. Then the blood rushed from his head to his toes. He realised that they were no longer touching, and he thought the pain must have been coming again soon.

He reached out for the pendant once more, but he realised he couldn’t not touch it. He reached out for it again, but he had no success. Then, a light shone within the crystal and his eyes were glued to the scene. Shortly after the light faded, leaving a small, cracked dove pendant, a faint mist emanating from split.

The crystal had cracked. Kiyoshi would be coming soon.

"Of Innocence and Dreams"

In a small, neatly kept and brightly lit shop in Barton Town, a slender man with mint colored hair, russet fox ears and a tail was quietly straightening up row upon row of decorative stationary. The shop seemed to be situated in a renovated home - the was a warm sitting room with a fire going to one side, and the acutal store area to the other. Stairs led upstairs to the proprietor's offices and storage (one might suppose).

There was also a room that appeared to be locked with a "Do Not Enter" sign posted on it in several languages. One might do well to stay quite well away from said door, if one knew what was good for them.

At any rate, the kitsune was dressed warmly as he set about his task, tending the Shop. Normally his business associate (and much nicer person to deal with) took the front of the shop while he handled things behind the scenes, but Huni Pi had some pressing business, and that left Syrie to the front.

He hadn't had many customers thankfully - he was very tired from lack of restful sleep and from the strange gem hanging from his neck. Still, the kitsune wasn't going to shirk his duties - no, he was listening quite well for the tell-tale jingle of the shop's door being opened; the sound of a customer.

With nothing but the same, boring routine for the past few days, Felinxis had made the decision to break the chain and had ventured off to Barton without the company of his chattering Feien and meangerie of pets, for an afternoon of street-walking and the occasional burst of Christmas shopping.

His blue-grey eyes darted around the popular Gaian town as he walked, taking in the sites of various shoppers, families, buildings and the Christmas decorations that were slowly emerging. He continued on his path, gently touching his smoking pendant that was clasped around his neck.

As he walked he approached a door and with an overwhelming sense of curiosity, the elven fey pushed the door open and stepped in side. As the door was opened his incoming presence was announced by the jingle-jangle of a bell.

Felinxis glanced around the store he had just entered. He began to walk around the store, examining its contents as he went. a polite "Hello," was ushered by the customer to the kitsune shop keeper.

Well, it might not look like it, but the Stationary Store was actually a wonderful place to go if you wanted to step outside of the "same old, same old" -- all sorts of interesting things happened there from time to time...like children, born from books! But that was something behind locked doors, and most customers never saw that.

"Greetings. Can I help you find anything?" Syrie's voice was low and clear despite his exhaustion and he managed to smile at the elven customer. His expression faltered a little bit when he realized that the necklace the other man was wearing was 'ghosting' like the one around his own neck!

"Oh, you're a ...you've got one too?" Brilliant, really...usually he was much more intelligent sounding, but with his current physical and emotional state...it wasn't going to happen.

The elf picked up a small pencil as he proceeded around the store. Normally he didn't have the inkling to check out writing tools and books. It wasn't his thing, but Felinxis had, on the influence of chance to enter the store.

"I'm sorry what?" He replied when the store keeper replied, placing the pencil back in its original position.

Felinxis looked over the fox man again before realizing what he meant. "Oh. one of those. I guess you say I could."

He touched the crystal dove around his own neck before the elf approached the counter. Felinxis never expected to find another Iridae guardian so soon, especially one that had their charge at the same 'stage' Kiyoshi was.

Syrie hadn't really expected to meet anyone with the same sort of 'child' so soon either, but this was a very pleasant prospect indeed - never mind that the kitsune was generally extremely hermit like. "I see your crystal cracked? Have you had any...problems? Anything odd?"

Syrie's words came out in a rush; he really wasn't good with speaking to others in this manner. Talking with the Medium had been different, he'd had a purpose then, Ruka had guided him there...talking with this gentleman was altogether different. Socializing wasn't really one of his strong points!

"Oh, I'm sorry...how rude of me." The slender man put out one long-fingered hand in greeting, the left curled around his gem almost reflexively. "My name is Syrie Zaire, my business partner and I own and operate this shop." The slight-lavendar wisp danced around the kitsune's curled fingers as though it wanted attention.

Ruddy ears flicked back and forth nervously, "And this..." He lifted the gem slightly, "is Rukashel."

Felinxis shook his head to the kitsune's first question. "No... nothing has happened yet, unfortunately."

He took Syrie's hand in his own and gave it a firm shake. "My name is Felinxis N'irar. Nice shop you have too..." Replied the elf, giving his own intorduction.

He pointed to the emminating dove around his own neck. "This is Kiyoshi. He apparently guards innocence, according to the Medium." Felinxis continued.

The Medium. Their meeting was so long ago, but the crabby nature of the grown Iridae had stayed with him, and Felinxis hoped he would never have to encounter her again, expecially after she had taken him so close to death.

Felinxis paused before posing a question. "So, how is your crystal going? I mean, has anything happened? I'm just waiting and waiting for it to burst into a child or something..."

"I would not consider myself unfortunate to have nothing happen. Rukashel is the Dream Guardian, and I've been quite unable to sleep properly since his gem came into my care." And the kitsune did look rather worn, his hair was flat and dull (despite being mint colored) and his shoulder drooped just a little.

"Ah, innocence. That is an excellent thing to be a guardian of. I believe that the Iridae perhaps have trouble retaining their own. Innocence, that is." During his meeting with the Medium, she had mentioned as much.

For whatever reason, he did not find the strange and hermit-like woman too worrisome; he could well understand how she might have become such a grouchy, unlikable creature. Then again, he'd been very tired, perhaps he had been too tired to notice much beyond the woman's words. "Ah, you met the Medium? What did you think? Did she tell you what to expect?"

There was a bit of a pause, but again...Syrie wasn't very good with social situations, so he spoke again; words tumbling across each other. "I feel that Ruka will come out soon...but I cannot be certain. I've never been near Iridae before, let alone one that walks in Dream." Not "dreams" but Dream - the place Between where the conscious and unconsious met and the Lord of Dream held sway. "Actually, yes. But that may be due to the...child's ability to Dreamwalk. I find it difficult to sleep."

He wasn't complaining though - he'd promised he would care for the child, and he would deal with Ruka's gem siphoning his life-force and keeping him from sleeping properly until the boy was "born".

Felinxis paused before recounting his experience with the Medium. It wasn't exactly the best experience he had. "I met the Medium shortly after I found Kiyoshi. I was drawn to her home, where we talked. I didn't believe what she said however. So she ripped Kiyoshi from me... and honestly I felt like I was going to die. It was horrid." He touched the ribbon which held Kiyoshi around his neck, subconsciously making sure it was still there.

"So my experience with her wasn't the best of encounters. I really hope I never have to meet her again." He finished, a bitter hint to his words.

"Dream Guardian eh?" Did that mean once he was 'born' he could enter Felinxis' dreams? He hoped not. "Sleeping isn't really a problem for me. When Athemius is not acting like a child." He said, mentioning his small Feien Fairy.

"How can you tell that it is near? I have no clue." Secretly he hoped it was soon.

Syrie listened intently to the other man, ear tips flicking as Felinxis related his encounter with the generally unpleasant Death Iridae. The words falling upon his large russet colored ears were quite disturbing to the kitsune - his encounter with the Medium had not been nearly as traumatic as Felinxis was relating.

"My own meeting with the Medium wasn't nearly so...dire, and yet I don't relish another meeting either." No, Syrie had done just fine with the white-robed figure though she had certainly rubbed him the wrong way on a personal level.

Talk of Ruka brought his silver-grey eyes back into focus and his train of thought returned to the present. "Yes, Dream. That's currently why I have problems sleeping. Ruka is always there." The small demi-human blinked a bit, "Athemius?"

"Oh, I'm not completely certain, of course...but...with Rukashel feeding from my life force, I can feel him becoming stronger." It also helped that the kitsune was empathic, he could read his gem and the wisp enough to gather the clues that led him to his hypothesis. "Also...there are many variables..." But he trailed off and shook his head; no need to try to explain something so dryly scientific that it would bore anyone but the most die-hard researcher.

"It's a feeling I get, that's pretty much it. And my hope, also."

It was Feinxis' turn to listen, and thats what he did. He wondered if it would be possible for Kiyoshi to have an effect on his innocence, like Syrie's Rukashel was affecting the kitsune's dreams.

"Would it be possible that Kiyoshi could hvae an affect on my innocence?" Felinxis asked himself out load, not really caring if the other responded or not.

Felinxis pondered exactly how to word the answer to his aquaintance's next question. His Feien could certainly have many different explanations. "Anthemius is.. well he is my Feien Fairy, though I though faires would be a calm and gentle, sensible race. He is quite different."

"You can feel his feeding off your life-force? I can't really tell. I'm always really worn out by the end of the day. Though I am finding myself sleeping in longer." Felinxis smiled to himself. He didn't know if that was a result of Kiyoshi, or some form of laziness finally showing in the elf.

Syrie didn't have the answer to Felinxis' question, all that he could do was guesstimate and suppose. "It's possible, but I can't be certain as I know very little about the Iridae in general." He did believe it could be possible, but likely not until Kiyoshi was much 'older' -- the Medium had stated that Ruka was much, much too strong for his 'stage'.

"Ah, I've heard of the Feien Fairies, though I've never seen one up close...I imagine, as any Gaia-touched creature - they are quite ...interesting." And changable. Odd how the magic of Gaia tended to effect everything.

The silver-eyed kitsune nodded slowly and absently touched the gem resting against his chest on it's silver cord. "Yes. But that is...well, my kind...." He didn't know quite how to explain that it was his very nature to notice things like that.

"I'm not certain if that's because of your gem, or just your nature..." Ouch, he hadn't meant to imply that the other man was lazy...it had just come out -- there was a reason that Syrie Zaire was a hermit and rarely came out to tend the shop: he was not good with others! "My apologies, I'm not used to conversing with others..."

As his discomfiture was quite apparent, the russet fox couldn't meet the other's eyes any longer so he did what he was supposed to be doing and offered up a very nice cream colored stock with green stripes in a fairly masculine pattern, his long-fingered hands tremoring slightly -- not all of it was from his embarassment, he was exhausted.

"Again, I apologize....Huni is usually here to greet our clients..."

Felinxis' eyes flitted from the man to the pendant around his neck. At the mention of his own 'nature' Felinxis mearly turned away and dismissed the notion, not showing whether he was offended or not.

With his slender elven fingers he brushed a stray lock of his black hair behind his pointed ear and looked at the items the kitsune had just offered. "No thankyou," Felinxis was not interested in the small stationary, and feeling that he had sent enough time in the presence of the kitsune and his Iridae, the elf turned and headed towards the door. "Farewell." He uttered as he strode out the door, absently touching the crystal dove as he left.

Syrie's delicate ears twitched a little bit; he could tell that his comment had an effect upon the elvish man and he felt foolish though he couldn't help his sometimes coarse manner of addressing things.

He had most assuredly not meant anything ill by saying that...but alas, it was too late to take it back; with a bit of a mental shrug the kitsune nodded graciously to his 'guest'.

"Have a pleasant day, both of you." No mention was made of talking again; he didn't think he could handle it in his present state - but the kitsune did want to speak with Felinxis again the in the future...if nothing else, their Iridae could play together, perhaps...once they both had materialized.

"Old fox, you really need to stop scaring away customers..." Syrie murmured to himself as he sat behind the counter.
