I pray to Erik and thank him for blessing me with the birthday of my dreams! While many others have large parties of friends, I have chosen for my sweet sixteen to see The Phantom of the Opera on broadway and have dinner at a resturaunt that is considered fancy (dress and suit type place) that has the biggest chandileer (sp?) I have ever seen! I cannot wait.

Has anybody seen the current Phantom preform? Is he good or bad? Did they change the lyrics?

What has anybody else recived for their birthday Phantom related?

Changed the lyrics from what? The OLC? The movie? The more-or-less current stage lyrics?

Current Phantom is McGillin, non? Some people like him, some don't. I think the biggest complaint is that his vibrato is heavy, to the point of sounding like he has a... on second thought, I shouldn't repeat what they said it sounded like he had caught in his throat. But I've heard good things about his acting. 3nodding

Have fun at your birthday party!
:3
As for me, I'm having a Masquerade party for Halloween for them.
And I'm trying to convince my parents to get me a Music of the Night music box for Christmas.
XD
My birthday isn't until April.

Woo, have fun with that. Congrats on finally getting your dreams. Tell us all about it when you get back.

I...ahem...got the 2004 PotO for my 16th. Though...it was more a Sucky Sixteen than Sweet. But I'm not here to rant.

And for my 17th...hoboy, I got the last thing I thought my mom would order. The SE French PotP DVD. It arrived on my exact birthday. I was, to say the least, psyched.

And I ate in this terribly fancy gourmet pizza place. Not dress and suit fancy (I got to wear my punk/goth-inspired attire) but it was awesome. Some really fancy pizza, there. eek

And it was less than a block from my house.

I felt special.

Sounds like everyone has done quite the Phantom celebrating. I am anxiously awaiting the day when I can finally go. We passed the Majestic Theater yesterday on our way back from the city, I was so happy.

But the lyrics I have reffered to were the ones on the original soundtrack with Micheal Crawford.

I love your signature, by the way, Kira. o___o

I get PotO Christmas Ornaments for my birthday.... because it's two days after Christmas. XD So far I've got the most recent two, because the older ones are quite expensive and hard to find, even on eBay. >__>;;

Okay, for one, I never saw any version of the stage show.

And secondly...is this the Majestic in Dallas, Texas? eek

I think she meant the Majestic Theater in NY. That's the one it's been in since coming to the states.

Ooo, the Majestic Theater is beautiful! Oh my gosh, you are going to love the show! The best part of the whole show...when you first hear the organ music and the chandelier lights up and slowly rises up to the ceiling...ooo! Okay, I won't ruin anymore for you!

Anways, McGillian is pretty good. I saw him on March 28th while my family was in NYC for Spring Break. I was excited because I got a poster signed by the whole cast! It was excited. I was mad at my dad though because he almost made us late...anyways, McGillian is a good Phantom and Sandra Joseph is a great Christine. You will love it!

I never seen PotO in broadway and I envy people who get to see it over and over again *tear* but oh well, I'll get my chance after constantly begging my parents whee

The thing I got for my birthday and Christmas was Susan Kay's Phantom. The book I got was one of the first printings and sadly I didn't know about the re-printing. Anyway it was expensive so I sacrificed both my birthday and Christmas gifts... my parents thought me insane XD

My cousin once told me that when it would be the morning of my birthday while I'm sleeping she'd place a rose with a black satin alongside Eggs in a Basket (V for vendetta reference). She disregarded the plan since she felt that it would creep me out... crying the evilness that is her....
