Lucy is like my hero! lolz
Lucy's perhaps one of the greatest female characters to have ever been thought up.
And now, something I've been meaning to add about the conflict and differences between diclonius and humans...
Both the diclonius and the humans have their own flaws. While diclonius are depicted by humans as murderous. callous creatures who will kill others without hesitation,
Elfen Lied consistently shows the violent and murderous that humans also harbor. Throughout the series, we're constantly being questioned whether diclonius will replace us as the new
Homo sapien, or if humanity will overcome. More than that, we're forced to ask ourselves if we as a humanity even deserve to continue on, or if the diclonius should die out. This choice, in the end, is left to Lucy--the diclonius' only hope to continue their specie--and she (SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER) chooses humanity, out of her love for Kouta. After all is said and done, the only question that's truly answered is who in the end goes on; we're still left with many questions regarding the morality of both the diclonius and human-kind...and which of us is truly better/worse than the other.
